    My concern with a seeder on the front of a skid loader is that with a precision attachment such as this seeds are being placed at a consistent depth, what effect the loader will have on this depth once a 4 or 5 ton machine rolls over the just planted seed?

      This seeder can be operated in both forward and reverse. If you are concerned about driving over seed, you can certainly run in reverse. However, there is a tradeoff with this as forward operation is always more comfortable. Some seeds have a wide range of laying depths and hardiness so driving over them won't make a difference. Others would need more precision and reverse operation would be the proper way to lay that seed. In this case, we were laying grass seed and the seed type is hardy and doesn't require reverse operation.

    Does a person have to set it for amount of seed being released? If not how would it know to slow down or speed up for bigger/smaller seeds

      There is a set for the size of seed you are dropping. After that, your speed will dictate the speed at which the seeds drop. The way this product is designed is to automatically adjust drop speed as your speed up or slow down your loader. The only adjustment made for seed is the size, which you would set prior to beginning to operate.

    Would this work for overseeding in a hard ground pasture? Our would it need to be softer dirt?

      great question! This is not a no-till seeder and will get the best results with softer dirt. If you would like to speak with a product guru about questions or any of our other attachments, feel free to call anytime at 877-378-4642 or check out our site here: skidpro.com/

    I noticed in the clip a few times going over uneven terrain the rollers came off the ground. Why cant you run this with the lift arms in float?

    • @skidpro

      You can absolutely run this attachment with your arms in float. The main reason for the arms not being in float in this video is that it is just personal preference. The operator for this video shoot just simply preferred to not.

    Can you plant Thur already established grass or food plot or dose it need to be bare dirt?

    • @skidpro

      You can plant over grass with this unit. For the video shoot day we only had permission at a house with bare soil.

    Would this work for wildlife foodplots? Wheat, radishes rape seed?

    • @skidpro
      @skidpro  Рік тому

      It would. The most frequent use for this seeder is food plots and yard planting.

    Corn?

    • @skidpro
      @skidpro  6 місяців тому +1

      This wouldn't be the ideal solution for corn. That needs to be planted in rows 2-3 feet apart and there is no way to set the spacing. Plus, corn needs to be set over an inch below ground. Could you try it? Absolutely, and for a food plot it may work. However, if you want the best corn growth I would suggest finding something specific to that rather than selling you equipment that will do a subpar job.

      @@skidpro Do you think you could attach a small, one or two row corn planter to a skid steer?
