Definitely one my favorite moments in the musical! My dream team has got to be Lea and Samantha, but I also loved Frances as Eponine and Lea and Ruthie sounded amazing together!
And my other two favourite Fantine and Eponine’s is definitely Samantha barks and Lea Salonga because I love there singing voices in the 25th Anniversary concert cast
Oh, these are so beautiful. It is a special treat to hear it in French! (and other languages). I have my favorites but it's mostly because of what I'm used to. All of these are so special. What a treat to hear Sierra Boggess and "Dorothy" (Danielle Hope). I didn't know that either one of them was ever in Les Mis.
Thanks for the great upload. The sound qualities vary, of course, but it is so nice to be able to hear all these different "duets" and I love the way you have provided pictures of each too!
Which production is the clip with Gunilla Backman from? She was the Swedish original Cosette. I actually wasn't aware she'd sung Fantine in English. O and besides, I absolutely adore Sierra, but to me she is a Cosette, maybe an Eponine, but not a Fantine. Ruthie and Lea all day long and twice on a Sunday, I'd say.
While there are so many voices, I love Frances as Eponine. Her voice has grit that matched the hard life of Eponine. All these beautiful voices gave me goosebumps. This duet is heavenly.
This is my favourite part of this song because it’s so heartbreaking and my favourite Fantine and Eponine is definitely Patti lupone and Frances Ruffelle because they have amazing singing voices
I'm so glad you put Alyson Brown and Nancy Sullivan as your thumbnail. I've been very interested in Alysons career and I havent been able to find much about it. Same with Nancy. I first came across her in I'd Do Anything. They didn't put surnames so I couldnt find her. Tour thumbnail literally was the only way I found her. I'm guessing I'd Do Anything was staged now. I always thought she was too good on that show that she couldn't have been just pure talent with no training.
This part of the song breaks me no matter who sings it. It's cheerful for Valjean because he finally leaves a life of hardship behind, and is embraced by God as a Saint, but in the words that "love is everlasting" you must also remember the fact that Cosette, who loved him as her father is left behind at the very end
The take my hand part is soooo beautiful , it gives me always goose pimples
BY FAR/
Absolutely....
Yes! By a long shot. No comparison.
Their voices really blended well.

Frances Ruffelle is my favorite. Her voice isn't beautiful like Lea Salonga and that's why I like her as Eponine; her voice fits the role more.
Agree
its a great pity that the lovely harmony on the word ''salvation'' seems to have been re-arranged in recent years.
Lea and Samantha
David Matos YES!
Agreed, Ruthie and Lea, and also those Japanese singers wow
Also got to add Karim and Celina
And my other two favourite Fantine and Eponine’s is definitely Samantha barks and Lea Salonga because I love there singing voices in the 25th Anniversary concert cast
Ruthie and Lea all day long. Their voices are beautiful separate and together. ❤
Lea and ruthie. Ruthie is my favorite fantine and lea and Frances are my favorite eponines
Ruthie and Lea*
James. Ruthie is my all time favorite also,so heartbreaking in a good way
LEA AND RUTHIE for sure. the first time i heard it, it was ORGASMIC!
So Ruthie Henshall, Lea Salonga and Judy Kuhn did Fantine... Now only Jenny Galloway has to do that part :)
HAHAHA absolutely!
And Ruthie, Lea, and Judy need to play Madame T
celinde and carrie =)

Debbie byrne, kaho. Ruthie and lea. Yumiko and seiko. Sophia and sabrina. Nurlaila and celine. Lea and sam. Sierra and danielle. Celinde and carrie.
Frances is not my favorite Eponine, but I LOVE the way sings "salvation." It's heartbreaking.
rubywings Ok,I get it but I love Frances,so pure
Agreed
Kaho Shimada takes it for me 💞 her voice is haunting and angelic

Sierra wins this for me. Her operatic voice makes this part of the song exceptionally beautiful
Add me to the Ruthie/Lea chorus.
sophia and sabrina are so beautiful oh god their voice :o :o :o

Create a new one with Elena and Carley and Carrie and Shan
I deft anyone to sit through the epilogue of Les Miserables and not be in floods of tears.
Is there a way you can do these with Vajean included the final trio is just so haunting
Favorite part/song of the whole song.

i prefer Anne Hathaways. Was interesting to see what earlier/other singers sounded singing it tho. Of these i prefered one of the french ones

Nobody will ever do this better than Ruthie Henshall and Lea Salonga
Hands down Ruthie and Lea: Lea and Samantha.
Louise and Stephanie.
