Djamel Laroussi's Worldbeat is a gripping groove-cocktail of Maghreb, Latin, African and Caribbean influences. Gnawa-trance, Rap, Rai, Rock or Jazz are mixed with Salsa, Oriental and Funk Grooves to shake up a live performance of sparkling Ethno-Pop.

says, in according to the Algerian expression in Kabyle :
"andak_andak a y'uli -w mazal _mazal
timlilith yidek a y'uli-w mazal _mazal" which means in literal sense : " Where are you_where are you, my heart
not yet_not yet
my date with you my heart, not yet_ _not yet"
he also uses Algerian Arabic and Algerian French in this song.

Bravo djamel larroussi guitariste super extraordinaire
Please John don't forget to react to chikh sidi bémol..thnx
" mazal , mazal " means not yet ( in both Algerian Arabic and Berber dialects ), he is still waiting for his love , to find her , but it's still " mazal " ,the rythm actually is a 6/8 one , with a fusion of deep African Rythm and soul , he is one of the greatest artists and jazzmen not only in Algeria , but the whole world , he had the honour to play with the great Stevie wonder , when this latter was looking to make a tour with a 100% African artists , Jamel's master classes' on this style and rythm are Ones of the most wanted in the world, especially Europe , sweeden , Germany , France ...., In my knowledge he is still teaching in sweeden at one of the most prestigious Universities or Musical institutions , and also he made it to top 10 best guitarists in the world ( sorry I don't remember which year exactly ).his music is always a pleasure to the ears .
Très belle chanson
Tank you
Crazy !
His music sounds a bit similar to Opeth, kinda progressive and funky. Salut john from an algerian fan of Opeth

علاش ما تخطيكش من الخروطي ،العربية هي نتاع هذا البلاد ماشي اماعزية
Djamel is featured in a massive new book in English entitled UNCOMMON SOUND. This 2-volume anthology written by John Engel explores all the world's guitar music through the works and times of left-handed guitar players - ideal symbols of the free, rebel spirit of popular music. Djamel is in good company: Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Tony Iommi, Jimmy Cliff, Bob Geldof, Bobby Womack, Dick Dale, Tim Armstrong, Seal, Babyface, Otis Rush, Albert King, Kurt Cobain, Lili Boniche, and many others.

Sir, i would like to introduce to you a really another different genre in Algerian music
It's Called Chaoui Rock Music
There are many Algerian Musicians who speak a different Accent called Chawiya which is a part of the Amazigh "Berber" Language
If you look more, there more Artists which they participated in Algeria's golden age of music and evolved it more to the best
Here are some Chawi Artists and their Famous tracks :
