  • On my 2020 TTR 230 after I changed the Air Filter, Oil & Oil Filter (after 8 hours), main jet #130 pilot jet #38, then I upgraded from the stock exhaust to a Full system Big Gun Exhaust, It was one of the last I could find through Motorsport.com due to this pandemic everyone buying the rest of the parts for bikes... This turned out to have amazing results! Later I changed the front and rear sprocket you'll see in the video following this one.
amzn.to/3es4vxm - Big Gun Exhaust - This is the only link I could find for the exhaust, they will most likely be sold out, good luck finding one!

Big gun sounds way better. Probably gave you more power and torque. Thinking about buying this bike. Will definitely get the same exhaust system for it. Thanks for the video.

Thank you Man! I recommend it for people under 5"11 and under 150ib so you can get the most out of the suspension. Also I wouldn't buy a new one, you shouldn't have to be more than $3000 for a Mint condition TTR.

No problem man thank you! That is great to hear! An FMF exhaust is just as good to, changing your sprocket setup will always change things, also you have the options of increasing the jets and upgrading the air filter too!

So I just met a guy (older) yesterday that has one of these exhausts on his TTR 230 but doesn't like it because he thinks it's too loud. I've got a TTR230 also and we were talking about doing an exhaust exchange. He would like to have a stock exhaust,(which I have) and I like the sound of his better than mine, If I put his on my bike, do I have to do anything to the carburetor, or can I just slip it on without any rebuild, or adjustments do you know? I'm a new rider, and am not really interested in cranking up the power per say, just thought his sounded better.

I owned a 2017 TTR-230 with a FMF pipe on it. I had to re-jet mine as it ran way to lean. I went up 1 size on the primary and main jet and also installed a high flow air filter. Its a way different power band now and pulls strong through all the gears. I parted ways with it last year and I'm looking into getting a 4 stroke 450cc now. Grew out of the TTR-230 after a few years of riding it but its a great bike for what it is. Forks are also weak as its more of a trail riding bike but you can re spring and use a heavier weighted fork oil if you want to hit some jumps with it...

@@757_aj9 That's cool Man! we all where there at one point, you should stick with the original carburetor but experiment with a jetting kit, it is the most affordable direction to go to get the most of of a TTR. Kits start like $75ish. The purpose here is to change the pieces inside the carburetor to add or minus the air/fuel mixture. Exhaust mods, Air Filter Mods, assist a lot when you are "tuning" your Carb.

    • @RidingwithDylan

I am not sure because each state is different with the laws- I think noise pollution is a states biggest concern, but technically as long as it has an exhaust it will do it’s job.
