I definitely agree with that. Like most I watch the Paul's Hardware video a little while ago about getting Windows 10 key from Kingwin but this answered a number of questions about delivery times and customer service as well as customer service from Microsoft should you have any issues. it's just another reason why I'm glad I subscribed to this channel
this is why i like you tech deals...i was going to purchase a windows 10 key from kinguin the day my buddies were going to walk me through a pc build now i know i'll buy it 2 days in advance before the build, just to make sure. thanks man.
chub'n'tuck 6ft White Male Dude, all I did was use the Windows 7 Home product key on my old broken laptop to install Windows 10 Home on my new gaming rig... The key works during installation and even activates itself when you first connect to the internet. Matter of fact, I just installed Windows 10 on a ladies desktop using the Windows 7 sticker on the side.
Thanks for the thorough walk trough, at first I though Kinguin was a grey market scam that only worked for a few people. Now I have used them to get Win 10 Pro for my new rig and it seems to work great. A mere 15 minutes after purchasing the OEM key I got the key in my mail. Now I'll have to wait for my hardware to arrive to build the PC and make sure the key works correctly. Update: Yesterday I tried to activate Windows but it told me the code was already used. I then contacted Kinguin via live chat and they activated Windows for me in less than 10min. That's great customer service!
I worked in Customer Services and yes it's true - no matter how helpful you are, there are always customers that are not happy with anything. Its like they're on a mission to cause trouble no matter what.
Just did this to activate Windows on my new PC! So glad I didn't actually drop full price for it. Thank you very much. Your vids helped me with picking a Dell laptop 3 years ago, and I just built a new PC (Ryzen 3600 CPU) based on a several benchmarks and reviews that you put up. Excellent stuff!
I just used this service this past week. The key was delivered immediately. I set up Windows 10 on an old computer but there was a problem. I got an error code that said this key had been used previously. Don't panic. Follow the instructions provided by Kinguin. I called MS Tech Support and activated my copy of Windows in less than 10 minutes. Have a pen and paper handy, there are a couple of very long number sequences you'll need to write down should you experience the same issue. Total cost with the insurance was $36.92. It has gone up a little, but still a good deal.
I could only find one thing inaccurate about your video... I didn't need to wait 24-48 hours. The key was in my email box in less than a minute! Maybe it depends upon which vendor you choose? Hopefully it all works when I install Win10 Pro later this week on my first DIY build from scratch! Great Video! Well explained! Gave me confidence it would work. THANKS!!
*You can go to google search "Softkeyhome" to get windows 10 key. Yesterday I purchased from their website. Every time I was surprised price and customer service.*
Just wanted to say thanks. Worked like a charm. Just got one key and had it in hours. No issues registering either. I did take your advice and pay for the insurance, for peace of mind and would if I need another key.
Think im gonna go this route, I was ready to pay $189.99 for full retail Win10 Pro. For $30 Ill go OEM. Ive read around about this site and seems pretty legit. Thanks for the video. This confirmed for me Im gonna go this route.
QUESTION: I bought a used computer and I was told Windows 10 Professional was installed on it, and that it came with a backup copy of Windows 10 Professional came with it as a disc - which was true. The problem is that it displays a message of "Activate Now." When I tried entering the code number on the box that holds the Windows 10 Professional backup disc, it was not accepted. And when I used a Command Prompt to obtain the code number currently in use, nothing happened. What should I do? Is there a way to explain this to Microsoft and get a valid code? I didn't do anything wrong. I can't help it if this code number on the box doesn't work.
You can transfer OEM keys, you just have to use the MS Phone Registration. It's very easy to purchase an old, cheap Craigslist Dell that has been upgraded to W10 and transfer it to a new motherboard. Then you install Ubuntu on it and throw it back on Craigslist for $20.
So I was septic, but I've decided to give it a chance. I buy it from Nextkey and I got my key within 2 minutes and it works ! Thanks from Québec Tech Deals !!!!
WARNING! I bought a Key and it was already used. Kingunin has you call up Microsoft and get a new key which worked and I'm activated. SO either the company Kinguin is running a scam or it's because I used this key on a brand new build. Don't know but again, Buyer Beware! Also since this video came out I'm assuming people are using the same Business you verified as good so they have raised their Insurance Rates but I didn't luckily have to go that far and use the insurance so it was $46.00 US but that is still cheaper. Just be aware that you may have to jump through hoops if it doesn't work.
the info on oem vs retail is really valuable, got the pro version thinking I could upgrade so now I'm just sitting back waiting for a response from kinguin support.
Looks nice! I have one question. If, for example, i buy a key from a germen seller, will the windows language be in german? Or can it be changed to whatever language you want (dutch in my case).
Do you think gameflip will be a better option? It has no extra charge for user protection, compared to the $7 (aud) on kinguin, well trusted, and is only $10 usd or for me $12 aud.
I bought a Windows 10 Home key a couple of hours ago from Kinguin, I received it by e-mail shortly afterwards and I when I tried it to activate it... I get the "it was already used on another device" message. Damn... I was already thinking I wasted my money but actually it was easily fixed. It should be possible to activate by phone (but I couldn't), however I contacted Microsoft and it was easily fixed, they gave me the confirmation id and now my Windows 10 is activated.
I found a nice Dell on eBay that doesn't have an OS (after watching your other videos!). For some reason I have it in my mind that I'd need the Dell restore or install software that came with the machine to get it running again. Will I be able to install Win10 and use an OEM key to get a clean copy of Windows running? Does the BIOS know or care? I've only built new computers so I'm not sure if there's anything that would keep me from being able to do this. I'm learning some new stuff on your channel, thanks for the great content.
I buy my Windows 10 Pro keys 5 at a time, makes it easier to keep track. I bought my first batch more than 6 months ago and just recently used the last one, bought another 5 this week for next year. :)
There are mixed reviews about how reliable and trusty these cheap CD Keys are - from being bought with stolen credit cards to un-reliable. What do you think?
what about just upgrading from windows 10 home (that came with the laptop) to the pro version? do I need to do a clean install? the laptop is just a few days old.
I had problems with windows 10 and gaming before, a lot of stability problems and too many pop up warnings during games which were very annoying. Therefore I reverted back to 8.1. Is it okay to upgrade to windows 10 now? I bought better parts, I'm not sure if they may help. Please for feedback.
i purchased a windows 10 key a year ago from g2a got it right away but could not for the life of me get it to work, next time i´ll try kingpin with buyer protection. good video, you get a sub :D
recently a lot of the keys i've been buying for builds you get the already been used error, and have to activate by phone. it works, but if you do a clean install it will still ask you for the original code (so save it), although you won't get the used error anymore.
If I already bought a retail Windows 10 home CD full price from Amazon and only used the CD to get Windows on my laptop, can I still use the key to get Windows 10 on another system?
In all my life, I've never had to buy an actual retail version of Windows, or the OEM variant for that matter... For example, I just built a new gaming rig and all I did was get the Windows 7 Home product key from an old broken laptop I had and used it to install Windows 10 Home using Microsoft's app that turns your flash drive into a bootable Windows 10 installation disk. When I check it says that my Windows 10 is activated using a digital license associated with my account, or something like that...
Very good video! Your explanation is spot on. Very clear and thought worthy. Anyone should be able to do this as if they have done it before... Thank you for knowledge.
no where in asia or africa windows prices differ more than few $. as it is stated before - these are used keys - it is only matter of time when with updates windows will determine that particlular key is in use or has been used before - and then it will be blocked.
I'll be honest, I had reservations. Paul over at Paul's Hardware had a video, but I wasn't convinced. For whatever reason, I trust Mr. Tech Deals (I don't even know his name!). I'll be rolling out some homelab VMs, so I may end up buying a key or two from this site.
Enjoyed your video. I have ran into a problem with unsuccessfully reactivating my HP laptop that has Win-8.1 Pro pre-installed.. I got it from my previous employer about 2 years ago. It was a departing gift and they have since went out of business. I continually receive the annoying blue screen to re-activate. MS tech support has verified my Win-8.1 Pro as valid, but under a volume agreement. Since I do not have a copy of all the installed software, I really do not wish to go thru a clean install. Can I use this copy of Windows 10 Pro to perform an in-place upgrade / installation from Win-8.1 Pro without reformatting and starting fresh? This will sure resolve a lot of research tracking down all the software that is already installed. Your advise and thoughts?
generally OEM codes will work on manufacturer machines or volume codes but not the other way around. Should be able to get 8.1 from there and just use the code from it. Though I suggest Windows 10 over 8.1... I have had both.... 10 is better.
Thank you for your response. One more question...can I perform an "in-place" upgrade from my current Win8.1 to Win10 by purchasing a Kinguin Win10 pro from above? In other words, upgrade to Win10 without doing a HDD clean install and re-installing all my programs? Thank you...
hey, i made a 1500$ build similar to one your videos recently. My windows 10 pro is not active. My question is would i have to reinstall windows 10 again and use the code during the set up or can i use the codd after i set up windows 10? Reason being is my pc is about 3 days old now and when i attemp to activate the key it becomes invalid went through this process twice
Nice I trust you so now I will trust kinguin....and will give a try...got one question if I install Oem version of win home it's kinda gets bind to my motherboard so can I install win pro later on the same motherboard.
Love your videos. Are there going to be another build video? It's so fun and informative to watch. Really looking forward to it. Especially for around 2000 USD budget :))
Thank you, I built a new PC and got my OS key from them, works perfectly and I got the key pretty much instantly. The insurance fee was a bit high though, $7 CDN.
Thank you for this video, it was easy to understand. Could you do a video to show us how to install Windows since i doubt it's the same thing as a disk ? Great video as always.
I put in one order of a few games once and they put in *Three*; they canceled them as soon as they were put in _and_ didn't respond after 24 hours. Not sure what's up with that, seemed a bit suspicious. I really would've liked that web store if not for that.
Hi Tech Deals. Do you have any video tutorial about edition of Windows 10. I'm going to install clean Windows 10 on my own build and have no idea which type of them I should buy for the best deal.I'm concentrate for gaming with lite doc work at home no business or network to work with. Thank you :D
tech deals has a nice video on that. Anyways, get a separate drive (a USB stick will work), download the microsoft windows 10 installation media on it, stick it in your fresh pc, and boot from that drive.
I barely ever comment but I just want to let someone who may be as wary as me but wiling to take a risk know that it flipping works lol, I got it from Nextkey, is the first one that was placed to buy it, I got it bc some comments mentioned it and saw on vid. Had to get a code from bank to approve transaction but it was quick and got it right away, was accepted by program aaannnndddd my old one was "not genuine" so finally on the ritgeous path =D (pc had 7 ultimate so went with pro, not sure if you should follow the instructions on Microsoft or if it doesn't matter bc of the code being what chooses the one you get, but still HAPPY!!) thank you sooooooo sooooooo much tech deals, btw been watching all the videos as I'm trying to put together my first rig from scratch so please keep up the great work!!! \o/ (🙌)
In the video you said if the mobo was changed, the OEM version will not work with the new mobo. But what if I used the old motherboard in a new system with everything else new, will the key still be valid?
Dark Kizuna I mean I just used the product key from an old broken laptop I had on my new desktop I made and it let me install, and Windows even activated itself...
Generally yes, it will... In my experience it is the changing of the motherboard that tends to trigger Windows activation, however even that doesn't always do it. Worst case, you end up having to call Windows Automated Phone Activation and get it reactivated, which I've had to do a few times, it has worked 100% of the time for me.
Thanks for this video. You channel is awesome! Wish I had come across it earlier! I just ordered a Win 10 Pro key. I take it that the key arrives by email at some point; then what do I do? Where do I download Win 10 itself? Thanks! :)

Did I really just fall for this scam? I paid and got charged, no cd key was provided.
This channel is too small for the amount of quality here
I definitely agree with that. M Shakir Yeah you watch the video and you're set with the info. No need to look into it
That's true, I've been watching almost every video since a good while ago (except specific benchmarks)
Purchased my kingpin win 10 pro yesterday, used it in my gaming PC build today. Works perfectly!
TheMightyMutch did you have to make a windows installation USB?
this is why i like you tech deals...i was going to purchase a windows 10 key from kinguin the day my buddies were going to walk me through a pc build now i know i'll buy it 2 days in advance before the build, just to make sure. thanks man.

Bought a Windows 10 Home key on Kinguin today, and it worked without issues. Thanks Tech Deals!
I've used kinguin, and recommended it to a friend. Keys delivered in minutes and no issues at all.

wayne foutz and when i dont register to kinguin and buy a key, how will i know, that i got it?

love your vids and personality man
Thanks so much! :)
*Guys who need windows 10 product key can google "vanskeys" to get one, 100% working.*

I believe that's the way it works - you have to call Microsoft to activate purchased key. I also did it today, it was easy.
omg you are so helpful. i was wondering alot of these things and you explained them all in this single video thanks alot :)
the info on oem vs retail is really valuable, got the pro version thinking I could upgrade so now I'm just sitting back waiting for a response from kinguin support.
I read that since windows 8, you could move OEM keys like retail keys, you should check this out if it's true and maybe add an annotation?
Hi have a great day and keep making great videos
Did kinguin increase the amount you have to pay for kinguin buyer protection?
One of the best channels i've ever seen, no joke.
This channel is awesome brother. I hope your Acer Aspire T series of videos convinced people of the ease of transitioning into the PC Master Race.
Thanks for making this video, I'm about to make a computer and was skeptical about this site and now everythings cleared up. Great video!
Looks nice! I have one question. If, for example, i buy a key from a germen seller, will the windows language be in german?
Or can it be changed to whatever language you want (dutch in my case).
All Windows keys work for all languages, you pick when you install
We love you tech deals ! All your videos are so detailled and it helps me out so much ;)

Most "reviewers" just show Kinguin and the price. This video explains clearly how it ALL works :D Merry X-mas Tech Deals! See ya in the next one!

So when you make a motherboard upgrade and get a kinguin windows 10 it wouldnt work so would you have to buy a new kinguin windows 10 key
I'm starting to think I have a magical affinity with this channel....for some reason I'm always on time (UTC+05:30)
Also is it fine I buy and activate the key before hand? (I'll only be able to start my build around next year)
I buy my Windows 10 Pro keys 5 at a time, makes it easier to keep track. I bought my first batch more than 6 months ago and just recently used the last one, bought another 5 this week for next year. :)
Tech Deals Oh...so then I don't have to worry about them expiring right? This long preparation will soon be worth it
Do you recommend this even for a first time PC builder.
There are mixed reviews about how reliable and trusty these cheap CD Keys are - from being bought with stolen credit cards to un-reliable. What do you think?
The mouse your using, is it a Razer Deathadder by any chance?
Learned a lot from this video. Already have windows 10 OEM so if I upgrade and support can't help me I'll definitely pick up a Pro key for this cheap.
30$ is absolut average // but yeah kinguin is a n1 page for keys
you work hard to keep this channel up and running hope you are being renumerated well
keep up the good work
what about just upgrading from windows 10 home (that came with the laptop) to the pro version? do I need to do a clean install? the laptop is just a few days old.

Im a subscriber to you and i was thinking about buying that Windows 10 key on Kinguin, and boom you upload this ;:)
Great video man, it really helped!
You are very welcome, glad to be of help!
i purchased a windows 10 key a year ago from g2a got it right away but could not for the life of me get it to work, next time i´ll try kingpin with buyer protection.
good video, you get a sub :D
recently a lot of the keys i've been buying for builds you get the already been used error, and have to activate by phone. it works, but if you do a clean install it will still ask you for the original code (so save it), although you won't get the used error anymore.
If I already bought a retail Windows 10 home CD full price from Amazon and only used the CD to get Windows on my laptop, can I still use the key to get Windows 10 on another system?
does this still work in 2019?
Did you tested ? I've read over the internet that after some period of time these keys become deactivated.. by the way thanks for yours videos
I've bought dozens of keys from Kinguin over time, including 5 Windows 10 keys, they all still work. If that ever changes, I'll let you all know.
Will I be able to use this with your "Installing Windows 10" video?
In all my life, I've never had to buy an actual retail version of Windows, or the OEM variant for that matter... Is there any way to get a cheap retail version of the Windows 10 Pro key? I checked Kinguin and there are no results for the retail version.

4%-ish extra for buyer protection seems worth it to me.
will is still be getting windows updates and is it safe to update after entering the kinguin prouct key activation?
This video was very informative! I didn't know the difference between OEM and retail, so thanks for educating me!
You're very welcome, glad it was helpful!
How can I install that windows on the laptop with Linux OS? With USB flash drive from another pc? , but does the USB have to be empty?

HELP! I ordered a windows 10 OEM key from Kinguin and it says it is unable to activate Windows. DId I just get scammed?
I already have Windows installed on my new pc. But it notice me to activate a key even while i can use it. This one would help?
Mr.TD crazy! I was looking for a vid like this. Perfect timing thanks!
hey, i made a 1500$ build similar to one your videos recently. My windows 10 pro is not active. keep on cranking out the great videos.
Yes... i5-6600k is probably next on the list... won't be that expensive, probably around $1,200 give or take.
Great videos. Its awesome you also have content for the budget folks. Just watched the one about buying a PC from Ebay and upgrading. Great idea!
Are you really from lewisville? You are so close. I am in krum near Denton. I am buying parts this month and building in January.
Yep
So how would you activate one of the keys from the BIOS?
can this damage your motherboard or sth?
i don't no english very will but i am enjoy to listen and watch your videos ...thank you (:
Thank you, I built a new PC and got my OS key from them, works perfectly and I got the key pretty much instantly. The insurance fee was a bit high though, $7 CDN.
Thank you for this video, it was easy to understand. Could you do a video to show us how to install Windows since i doubt it's the same thing as a disk ? Great video as always.
I put in one order of a few games once and they put in *Three*; they canceled them as soon as they were put in _and_ didn't respond after 24 hours. Not sure what's up with that, seemed a bit suspicious. I really would've liked that web store if not for that.
Is it Windows 10 + key or just the key?; and if just the key, where can I get Windows 10 cheapest today?
Hello could you please provide a link for the Windows 10 Pro media creation tool. Thanks
Hi do they sell other microsoft products?
OK so if I understood that correctly I can't use an OEM version of Win10 Pro to upgrade my Win7 Pro?? what's up with that?
You still can, go here:
www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade
Free upgrade still
this video helped me a lot, I'm going to use kinguin in my first build.
Wait, how do you get the key? By email? Mailbox? text? uhh?
I have a felling that most of these keys are generated via MSDN subscription rather than OEM. They are totally different.
So once i purchased this key, how to i go about installing it when my fresh PC build has no OS!
tech deals has a nice video on that.
Anyways, get a separate drive (a USB stick will work), download the microsoft windows 10 installation media on it, stick it in your fresh pc, and boot from that drive.
Thanks man
4:06, yes you cant change motherboard, but for me even my ethernet port fried and after started using USB Ethernet adapter it canceled my Win license.
I purchased here and was very happy!
What if I want to reformat do I have to buy a new key
any idea how to pay for keys through Subway or Burger king payment option? thanks
Sir, i would like to know that will GTX 960 work with 61 series or 4th generation motherboard or not?
KanhaG1 pretty sure aslong as it has pcie gen 2 it would work
Why does it taje 2 days for a digital key
Thanks! :)
techdeals can you make a video on how to make that duel monitor setup with that $720 pc? thanks
THANK YOU! This was exactly what I needed. Super informative and concise.
