I have a solution for your anxiety for playing in online chess against better people. Simply put a little blackout on top of their name. So you can't see who you're playing against until after the game. Since your entire anxiety is because of whom you're playing against, it would be logical to remove that out of the equation. You will literally have to play every game as if it was Schrodinger's cat. You will play with the knowledge that you can both be playing against the best and the worst players. And with that you will have nothing to be anxious about, because you will come into each game with the same mentality. "It's just a player."

I kind of feel like that's not a thing. Sufficiently advanced brains come to the same conclusions much faster yet the analysis is equally as in depth. It requires WAY more time to explain the analysis than to actually do it and play the moves when you're at this level
It's not that big of a deal. Magnus playing bullet while drinking alchohol is very much experimenting and it's not unusual for him to make mistakes. He has his flagging as backup, and knows the phsycology. And this guy plays exellent bullet.
Bullet really is about keeping a cool head more than anything. So easy to blunder moving so fast. And I’m sure that intensifies 10x when you’re playing Magnus
6:02 why not take with the bishop? even if he doesn't take, couldn't you have brought your rook alongside his while pinning him to the king so you can follow with the second rook and get a backrank mate? his best move would've been developing his pawns, and you still win a rook, right? this is coming from an upper 800s player so I'm not smart but it looks like a good move to me.

I won against one guy in 6 seconds in bullet game but it was because he left f7 unprotected, so bishop on c4 and I placed my queen on f7 I mostly try going against that square first as it’s the most vulnerable but after that I usually create a plan along the way lol
Took me 20 minutes to process the game with all the explanations while these 2 guys did all the thinking in 2 minutes high pressure game, some next level brain speeding.

No, you took the wrong conclusion. If the time wasn't there, they'd be playing completely different moves, so you can't conclude that the draw would've been there without time being there, as it would be an entirely different game.
i found an alternative method to win at timestamp 5:58. So what happens is, bihop takes f2. if king moves to h1, then rook goes e1. if white rook takes the black rook at e1, then bishop takes e1, then what ever white does, the f file bishop goes to f1. If wana counter this, then the c file rook of white, should pin the black f file rook or alternative way, move the king to g1 rather that than h1. this was just a little thought i had

There are 2 things I take from this. For most players playing Magnus is the biggest game in their life and are 100% focused, for Magnus it is another throw away game. The 2nd point is the 'Magnus' effect. Even when winning people lose, because they get the jitters thinking that they might actually be winning, or win.

Well there is a solution too..( Not sure if it would work) If Magnus plays Rc1 then Gotham can move the rook on f8 to e8 and magnus must make a move else Gotham can take Rf1 and pull the Re8. I'm at a far, far lower level, but the lesson of this game is: don't give up. As I've gotten better at bullet (1500+ on Lichess), I find that I win a lot of lost games on time. I have a tendency to quit when I see a mate or one of my major pieces hanging, but in bullet so often, the opponent doesn't see it. If you play within the rules, a win is a win and if you don't, it means nothing.
This definitely should have been a 5-part series.

My heart was pumping like crazy when I played a streamer in Starcraft. It was hard to concentrate. I can only imagine vs. Magnus. You had many great positions. Nice game.

Doubling the rooks with no purpose other than looking menacing is something I would have done. Except probably in classical time control lol.
I would have played much stronger than this, I would have hung my both rooks (after having blundered away the queen).

I'm at a far, far lower level, but the lesson of this game is: don't give up. As I've gotten better at bullet (1500+ on Lichess), I find that I win a lot of lost games on time. I have a tendency to quit when I see a mate or one of my major pieces hanging, but in bullet so often, the opponent doesn't see it. If you play within the rules, a win is a win and if you don't, it means nothing.
