As a West Virginia fan, I would hate to see Virginia Tech left out of anything. Great fan base. Even though Virginia Tech in my opinion is solely responsible for keeping West Virginia out of the ACC. Virginia Tech, and West Virginia are like looking in the mirror. We both had our awesome runs with major Harris/Pat White, and them with Michael Vick. Both programs have almost won a national championship, but didn’t. Both programs have a really great Fanbase and fan support. @@tarheel7406 For no good reason at that. You've got Wake Forest in your conference. WVU is far superior in Football, Basketball, and Baseball and Women's Basketball than they are. In both major sports, WVU has been a factor several times. Unfortunately the last 7 years have done a number on us.

I swear, every run was between 5-10 yards and they just went up and down the field every possession like that. For some reason that game has always stuck with me and whenever Va Tech is brought up I think of that awesome 1-2 punch. It's sad how far they've gone downhill since Beamer left. Miami has higher aspirations. They are hoping for an SEC or B1G bid. Personally I do not see what they offer the SEC, other than keeping the B1G out of south FL. Pitt can only hope that the ACC stays together or they go the Big 12. I think that Pitt would be a good addition to the Big 12. In fact, I also think that VTech, NCST and Louisville would be good additions to the Big 12, but how many teams would the Big 12 want, particularly if they pick up PAC teams first? Zero chance of Pitt in SEC or B1G. They would fit in B1G, but offers nothing to the league. Penn State already gets all of the money from the State of PA.
It's great that Tech is making strides in It's other sports programs. But the SEC or Big 10 isn't going to care that Tech's womens basketball team just made a final four if the football program can't win. That being the case I'm not sure why all the experts are so sure that UVA is a better expansion target than tech.
@Jess Kelley I'd like that. They supposedly had an opportunity years ago to go but probably couldn't leave the ACC at the time due to all of the political capital used to get then in the ACC.
Question, isn’t the revenue sharing for all other sports expect football? And if so isn’t that just a different of 2-4 million which is nothing compared to 30 million each Big 10 or SEC school will be getting over those same 13 years that the ACC grant of right is enforced?

No. There's no purpose for a national hodgepodge Tier 2 BIG12. Wouldn't be stable and would eventually splinter into regionals. The dumbest thing is killing the PAC/ACC, lose the intangibles, and then recreate from scratch. No P5 schools wants to go to the BIG12 as it's the option of last resort.
