  • In October 2023, we stayed for 3 nights at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club SeaWorld Orlando property one bedroom king suite. We were in the Warwick building, specifically, room 8601 on the top floor. When we stayed, parking was free/included, and having a rental car made this a feasible option. I personally would not recommend it if you didn't have a car, unless you really just want to chill at the resort/SeaWorld or are okay with paying a lot of rideshare fees. This hotel isn't right next to either Universal or Disney, but it's also not terribly far from either (and frankly, it's quite close to Disney Springs if you care about that). It can be a good central hub! And with the deal we found, we simply couldn't pass up the nightly rate (even if it meant perhaps not the most ideal location). Come take a look!
    If you have any questions, leave those down in the comments down below and I'll do my best to get back to you. Though please do recall that we did not utilize really any hotel amenities so can't speak to those. Thanks so much for watching, liking the video, subscribing, and turning on notifications. We have stayed there once in the past two years. I think we had a 2BR for our family (4 people) and it was really spacious. I agree, the screened-in balcony/patio is awesome. We definitely ate at the pool area/bar once and it was okay and the pools themselves are fine. Nothing fabulous, but a good place to start off the trip. We have also stayed in other Hilton Grand Vacation properties in Orlando, including Parc Soleil, which we liked better, but this hotel was perfectly great. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

      I consistently saw a lot of good things about Parc Soleil - good to know you agree! It was several hundred dollars more when we were traveling, so I couldn't justify it, but frankly all the good reviews do have me curious.

    Hi Jacqueline--This is a late dispatch! I thought your fall trip was covered. This looks like a nice hotel and you got a great price. A lot of people really like SeaWorld. There's a lot there and the price is so low compared to WDW and Universal. We forget how expensive the premiere parks are compared to other attractions. I've actually heard many people come to the Orlando area for vacation and don't go to WDW or Universal and just do SeaWorld and various small I-Drive attractions. I'd be interested in hearing their experiences.
    I'm leaving for Paris on Friday night. DLP on Monday and a day trip to Lyon on Wednesday! Very excited for all of it.
    Next time I read you I'll be in Paris! Best!

      Oh lol a "late dispatch" haha the fall trip content has just barely even started. We're in for the long haul, friend!
      Yeah I've also heard SeaWorld and legoland and like the Kennedy Space Center be highlighted as more budget friendly options. I'm sure that's true and I bet it's fun. But gosh I just am too spoiled and can't imagine being down there and not going to disney lol.
      Ahh Paris! Yes! I can't wait. I'm obviously catching up from weeks ago (work, sickness, some lingering medical stuff has really thrown me off my game here). You probably told me about it in a more recent comment. I cant wait!!!!

    Very nicely detailed room tour. Good to hear parking is free there. But man, parking at the theme parks is death by 1000 cuts unless you have an annual pass. They really should make parking free at the parks too.

      Yeah I mean.... I feel like paying for parking is to be expected haha. It's annoying, but when saving so much on a hotel room then I'm still at a net win compared to staying on site. Even the Six Flags near where I live charges for parking, I guess I'm just used to it!

    I've stayed there 3 times. Once in a 2 bedroom and twice in a 3 bedroom. The rooms are nice and spacious but the on property restaurant is meh. A friend of mine is part of the timeshare and wasn't going to use her points which is how I stayed all 3 times so the price was fantastic (free to me). We did some Sea World stuff the first trip but don't really see a need to do Sea World again. Discovery Cove was really awesome but Sea World in general was a let down for us. I now own 2 DVC contracts so I don't see staying at the Hilton Grand again unless my friend says she isn't going to use her points and offers them to me. It definitely could be a good home base if you are doing Universal, Disney and Sea World or any combination of those parks as it is close to I4.

      Oh three times, wow! But yeah definitely if you basically get it for free that makes sense, haha. Ive heard really good things about Discovery Cove, but never made the time to do it. Glad you had a great experience there!

    do you get a room like that for a time share booking

    • @PixieDustPhD
      @PixieDustPhD  2 місяці тому

      Hey there! I'm not certain, as my experience was booking a cash rate. I'm sure you could call to find out. That being said, typically timeshares work in one of two ways -- 1) you book a certain type of accommodation, so if a one bedroom was the standard room type in the timeshare contract then yes you'd get a comparable room, or 2) you're allocated a number of points that you can use at a portfolio of locations. I believe Hilton GVC is the latter, so then you have your timeshare points and could spend them on this room.
