A new era continues with our first N Scale 4 axle locomotive. Introducing the all-new Rivet Counter EMD GP30 with all railroad, road number, and era-specific details you’ve come to expect from ScaleTrains. Our model renders numerous variations of cabs, dynamic brakes, doors, grilles, trucks, etc. We’ve also incorporated LED lighting effects including front and rear headlights and auxiliary lighting like Mars or Gyra Lights. Roadnames with ditch lights will be available in future runs. This initial run features classic roadnames with the addition of Southern Railway 2601, preserved at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.

All Rivet Counter N Scale locomotives are available as DC/DCC ready with the E24 connector or with ESU LokSound 5™ Nano decoder and a cube-type speaker.

Great job Scale Trains this is awesome. I was a little disappointed with the N & W not being released at this time. But that’s alright because it will be released at a later date. I’ll survive. I will be preordering the Southern version. Thanks for making this model available to everyone in the N Scale community. Love the products that you as a company produced . Now I’m waiting on a first for Scale-Trains a steam engine in N Scale. Thanks. 😎😎 👍

Great to see them in Bethlehem at the Convention. As said, please bring a DD35 A-B-B !!!! For the moment, I will go with GP30 A-B-B-B or A-B-B-A for the train 😏
If you do make a modernized C&NW version(as you mentioned) you might consider a rotary beacon for the roof. C&NW GP30's were stored by around 1980 then later reactivated and sent out West until late 1988 when several were sold to the Fox River Valley Railroad and lasted there until the WC buyout.. Also please consider making CGW units for a future run.

This is an exciting release! I'm glad to see a non-dynamic version and hope the Soo paint schemes are in the future, along with dynamic-equipped BN units.
Will the BN/BNSF GP39E/M rebuilds ever be considered (along with a GP35 😉)?

Sadly these won't fit my era, as i'm generally a mid 2010's BNSF/UP modeler. Hopefully the next run of 4-Axles will feature some BNSF and UP rebuilds. (Or maybe even GP60's???)
Are you ever going to do an SD70ACe in HO and N scale?
The former Fox Valley N Scale SD70ACe project will be transitioning to an eventual Rivet Counter N scale offering down the line. -Logan

Drayton! Can we have Ferromex SD40-2s and SD45 with the actual accurate parts? Youre moderns have no lower lights and not everyone is a professional at adding detail parts.
