Search my heart Lord, cleanse me of ungodliness.
Mine too. So much hurt and being let down and betrayed from childhood on to 80 has cost me dearly by closing off my feelings and shutting down emotions I long for the heart of flesh to come alive again. Terrible physical pain and sicknesses, ongoing isolation... but I will hold fast to the hope which I profess for He Who promised is faithful. (No quotes in case forgot).
Thank and bless you all for the chance to say all of this and pray get beyond it.

He said it in His word though in the book of Jeremiah that the heart is wicked and deceitful above all things who could know it? It's not a surprise He has to search but, I'm grateful for His grace and mercy and long-suffering towards all.

Fear of the LORD is the simple acknowledgement of who he is. Lord is Owner, owner of what? All things & there is a judgement to be passed that your responsible for. Become AWARE of the fullness of God & fear is natural. What you FEAR you automatically TRUST. You FEAR it because you TRUST it. You trust it to do or be whatever it is that your fearful of in the 1st place. Trust in God. Love yall ❤️

Friend, let us realize that there is a vast difference between Biblical Christians and church-goers. We call everyone who attends a church a "Christian", but that often is just a label which identifies which flavor Religious institution they attend. Jesus taught that a "Christian" is one who strives to walk daily with Jesus, "denying themselves, taking up their cross daily and following Jesus" the Way of the Cross. I know some fervent saints like this, and we Fellowship almost daily to talk about Jesus and the Kingdom of God.
Our place is to "sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect." - 1Peter 3;15

Fear was a mistranslation. It's actually "Holy respect." There are others lost from Hebrew/Aramaic. The Greek is closer & better than Latin. Another one is "Mary, full of grace." She's full of grace bestowed to her. She doesn't extend that to others; it wasn't her role. In fact, her Catholic demigod status is perversion of the Holy Trinity.
God wants us to fear him,…you and everyone who agrees with you has got no idea,…how can you fear something and love that same something at the same time, give me a break, the true God is in the New Testament and all he wants is for you is to excerize and experience unbridled and unbounded love for him and his creation,…fear has no place with God.
Jesus denounced the God of the Old Testament saying his father is not the God of vengeance and also said you will recognise my disciples by their love, anyone preaching to fear God has his head is in his arse, the true God is one of love and forgiveness, he seeks communication with us and the genuine repentance for our sins, which are many, the ego is a sin, we must be selfless and put others first, that’s what God wants, love is an action!
