I find that if I like a particular interactive dashboard tool, I may go ahead and build even my static dashboards in that tool. For example, I set Tableau to use letter size paper as the default size of my dashboards, and then it's easy for me to just print to PDF if I need a static version.
Yes, love this! As long as you're not just taking screenshots of your interactive dashboard and slapping them onto PowerPoint slides, where the font's tiny and everything's blurry, then I'm happy. :)
