Homeless is a big thing even if u have a job and if u have emergency that happens become homeless cause u loss ur job

Homeliness is a sad thing, how can we help ?

Just a few days ago I was thinking about it. But then I thought...I don’t think these homeless ppl want to get help tho. That’s the problem. Which is exactly what Jamie in good trouble meant. They are not making an effort to reach for help. They could get a job. Save up. And to shower...and get themselves together. There’s public showers. Cloths? Get it in thrift stores or a donation place for free. Jamie was right. It’s like these ppl don’t want to get help. It’s sad. I was even thinking the other day...maybe the government should make motels dedicated for homeless ppl, but then I thought...then they wouldn’t want to do anything for themselves and would live off for free. There won’t be change. I wish they did make a change. Not for us. But for themselves.

What makes you say that they don't want to get help? Many of them have tried for months, maybe even years to get a job, find a place to live. But because of the society we live in they weren't able to. Wouldn't you give up eventually too? Others maybe want help, or really need help but can't ask for it. Maybe they're too proud (they don't want to inconvenience family members by asking for money) or maybe they have a mental illness that creates a barrier (a distrust in people, or depression causing them to think they deserve this anyway so why ask for help).
Others who are successful in asking for help simply don't get it. There aren't anywhere near enough homeless shelters out these, and even for people who do have jobs, minimum wage is not enough to afford groceries and rent in most major cities.
You have to remember that a lot of people who are homeless also face other adversities. Maybe they're people of colour and are therefore less likely to be hired and more likely to be thrown in jail. Maybe they have mental illness or a disability which makes it hard for them to work. Maybe they're incredibly sick and malnourished from living on the streets for so long.
Trust me, if given a choice, NO ONE would just choose to be homeless.
