"My Spock is only Leonard Nimoy, nobody plays better, Star Trek with another Spock isn't Star Trek". Oh, really? Leonard Nimoy is a legend, he is original and absolutely amazing Spock, but it doesn't mean, that all other Spocks are bad. They are another, but not bad. In my opinion, Zachary's Spock is super cool, and Spock of Ethan Peck would be grate. Live long and prosper to everybody there🖖

We have amazing tos, we have amazing Spock in this tos, and what he teaches us? Infinite diversity in infinite combinations. He teaches us to be pacifists like he was. New Spock is new combination, but it doesn't mean he is bad. He is just another. Star Trek is so big, there is place for everyone. And I think, we shouldn't condemn everything, what isn't tos, when we've never even seen this. Because Im waiting for new Spock, and if he is bad - okay, then he is bad, but he has right to exist without hatred.

He is only the third person to play Spock, the others are all actors who played Spock as a child in flashback scenes, so I do not believe they count. Leonard Nimoy voiced Spock in the animated series, you could make a case for a 4th actor by saying the person who dubbed him in Japanese.

Just like in the case of Harrison Ford as Han Solo, we've seen Leonard Nimoy at the relatively the same age as the actor portraying him in previous episodes of the franchise; so why do the suits in Hollywood think we're going to forget what either of them looked like in these new installments? Better to wait until the tech gets a little better in a few years and do what was done with Peter Cushing as far as placing an animated character in a live production. Humans rely on facial recognition, we won't be fooled into believing one actor is someone else, just younger.
