If you use the same 3.5mm cord, you'll need a total of 139ft. I know that the lengths are in the video for a reason, but thought this could be useful for someone.
Thank you for the information on the playback speed. That will greatly help learning this craft. I’ve just found your channel. By far one of my favorites. The new information just keeps coming.
Omg I think I can do this!! I've wanted a macrame Christmas tree for sooo long but every other video I've watched is so completely overwhelming. I truly think I can do this. Thank you so much for creating this ❤️ Merry Christmas 🎅
I made this yesterday and loved following your tutorial as well as the finished product. Thank you for sharing this! I can also understand why you left the cord measurements in the video and not at the beginning. I’ll be making more of these for friends!
Yes, I agree! Thank you! This is very cute and looks like something I could do as a first project. Can you tell me about how much cord is there total? I need to buy some today. Sorry if I missed it in the video!
You are one of my favorite macrame artists to watch. You give such great clear instructions. it is so nice for us newbies!! Thank you so much for sharing your projects and ideas with us. Thank you for all your inspiration!!
I love this! The tutorial is very clear! I just watched it before I go to make it and it looks so easy to follow. I will make a green one once I get a dowel! Thank you for the great video
This gave me a nice idea to use thinner (approximately 2,5mm) cord to make a mini version of this to be used as a hanging decoration on a christmas tree.

Oh no way, talk about synchronicity! :) Its not my best tutorial, I apologize, I was going to scrap the whole thing but decided to try a salvage it lol, so if you have any questions, please let me know!
A Toca Da Bruxa...boa noite! 💖🌷
@@margotmendonca7814 Bom dia! No vídeo aparece as medidas. Ex:295cm corresponde à 2 metros e 95 centímetros Geralmente coloco um pouco a mais, melhor sobra do que faltar. Não sei se conseguir te ajudar 😍
Wwwooowww! I loved it! 🥰 Is it possible to make it smaller? How can I make the proportion to make smaller one? Because I would like to attach it on the gifts for my belovers ❤️
Oh dear, sounds like it’s burning your glue! I don’t know the name brand of mine, I have 2, one is from the dollar store and works great, the other is from Micheals Craft store, it was less than $5, just a regular one!
hi i've been watching your videos and was wondering how do you measure the lenght that you need? for the plant hanger for example, i wanna start making my own desings but don't know how to measure how much cord i will need.
Literally trial and error! That’s why making tutorials takes so long, you have to estimate, make something, see if it works (never does the first or second time!) then on the third or fourth try you pull it apart and measure each and every cord and EXACLTY where they go, get the camera and make it all over again for the video!! There are many variables, the type of knot, the pattern of knots, how tight you tie them, the cord width and type of cord. My best advice is do a test run aand see how much cord a small portion takes and then multiply it by how big you want it once you figured out how much cord it takes.
Can I ask if there is a way to previously estimate the length of the cords? 😊 Because I'd like to try a pattern that exists only in my head but I'm afraid that I will run out of cord or end with too much waste 🙄
I watched a guy who I can't find again but the way he did it was... After you start like with hers (4 cords then she adds the other cord) you measure the remaining unused cord under your knots, double it and that's the length you use. As you work your way down the project that unused length is going to shorten so the amount you double is going to be less. If you want the total length of your project to be 3 feet after you're done- then you double the finished length (3x2 =6 feet, right). At the very end of your project you might have like 9 inches of unused cord. You'd still double that to 18 inches. It keeps the cords all ending at the same spot and you don't have as much scrape to cut off. Did any of that make sense? I hope it did.
I can assure you the measurements are correct as I not only purchased, cut, sanded and stained it myself, I am also meticulous and measure the dowels, and each and every cord myself to be sure I list everything exactly as it is for my tutorials. But thank you for your concern and taking the time to go to the comments and type this. Many blessings to you!

Very cool. When I was a teenager, Macrame was booming. I made all kind of stuff. I am glad to see it is back.
Oh no way, I’m so happy it’s making a revival too! I love it!

Maybe if you want less than half the size cut half the length of cord?! I’ve never made a small one so I don’t know what the measurements would be..
Perhaps use thinner cotton
Hi could you tell me what glue and glue gun you use please as the glue I’m using at the moment dries a horrible yellow colour. thanks

Is see you added a 9ft section is that 9ft how long it is once it's in hand or 9ft before its folded in half??
In all macrame patterns/tutorials the listed cord length is the actual cord length, never the cord measurement when folded.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
buenos dias, yo quisiera aplicar , me interesa yo hago todo lo relacionado con decoracion con material reciclado
❤️👍👍❤️❤️
🙏🏼🎄😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can i used 4mm rope for this project???
You can but you will need to cut more length for each cord, and either a wider dowel or less ropes of knots.
