- Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, The British Monarchy has ruled over one-quarter of the Globe in the almost forgotten British empire. In a small corner of that vast empire is the territory known as the Commonwealth of Australia. For over 200 years Australia has dedicated itself to the Monarchy and in return, the Monarchy has dedicated itself to serve the commonwealth. The Monarchy has had an enormous influence on Australia. The Monarchs of the past and present have helped the monarchy influence the Australian public, Australian political ideology, and the future pathways for the Commonwealth. Australian loyalties to the crown vary greatly, from when Australians fought against the crown in the Eureka Stockade, to overwhelming support for the monarchy in the 1920 royal tour despite the Prince of Wales’ racist remarks, the Tremendous support for Queen Elizabeth II when she first visited Australia in 1954 and national debate on the monarchy in the 1999 Republic Referendum. So the question must be asked, to what extent did the monarchy impact Australia and the Australian people, and did it have a positive impact on the nation?
Much appreciate the amount of time, effort and dedication you've taken to make this video, as well as your other videos on this channel.
Thanks mate, couldn’t of done this one without the help from some of the songs on yours!
Great video
This is really well-made. You clearly put a lot of effort into this Josh - it really does look of a high quality and something very well-worth the watch.
Was just thinking a lot about Princess Di this afternoon, rewatching her brother Earl’s eulogy and Her Majesty’s words on her just prior to the funeral’s airing. I know your task is not all about Di, just thought it was such a coincidence that I had revisited her passing today and then your task came up in my recommendations.
When I get the time, I would love to watch it properly, but from what I’ve skimmed, it does look amazing Josh. Best of luck with the task, I’m sure you’ll do very well.
Bella
thanks Bella appreciate it!
Greta video. God bless Australia and the Commonwealth of nations.🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing! The Monarchy is very important especially during this era.
Great doco
Fantastic video and very informative too. Seem to recall reading, that at one point towards the end of Queen Elizabeth's Australia tour she smiled so much that her doctor had to give her a muscle relaxant.
It's interesting how Diana was seen as the people's princess even in Australia, considering she was from an upper-class family.
Hopefully, with the new Royal Yacht, the monarchy can secure furth relations with its loyal subjects across the world.
thanks mate, and I agree on the point with Princess Diana, and hopefully we will get more royal tours in the near future once covid is no more!
Oof, the queen died before covid ended
The dislikes are from angry republicans especially the Irish ones

It was bringing the prisoners by British, the prisoners slavery to build city and towns between 1788-1868 and I learn the British empires occupation in Australians and I learn Irish was living Australians and used to be. I wish I was lost their homeland by British is not until Irish Independence in 1922 and Irish prisoners sent to Australians and slavery between 1788-1868 and the Ned Kelly was a Irish rebels but it almost Australian civil war in Glenrowan in 1880 and Peta Connell it was Irish rebels and fought eureka stockade and nearly Australians.
