Most people set up an application that implements some API's and expose them more or less directly to the internet though a web server like Nginx. However, as a system grows and changes, you may need more flexibility. I'll talk about how you can use an API gateway as a building block of your service to integrate you back end (micro) services. I'll also be taking about cross-cutting concerns that can be solved in the API gateway. Specifically I'll be sharing tips & tricks and best practices for the open source API gateway KrakenD. This is a highly performant, versatile and easy to use API gateway implementation.
