What sense did it ever make to trade draft capital away for Ayuik to begin with? The team isn't a wide receiver away from being a legitimate threat in the AFC. The team needs to focus on solidifying the offensive line this season and keep building the team up. Retain Muth, maaaaaayyyybee Najee and Cam and Fields, but then go into 2025 free agency with salary cap space and plug more holes that Colbert left this team with. It never ever made sense to trade for BA when the team is still a ways away from being contenders.

I admire the Steelers, but am not a fan. However when taking the QB out of the equation, I have them ranked as a Top5 team by overall talent. The Defense has a chance to be historic and etch it's name up there with the All-Time great Defenses. The way they get after the QB but at the same time, confuse the QB with coverages, is crazy. Nobody does it better. And they have players coming off the bench like OLB Herbig, DT Benton, and ILB Payton Wilson that would start on most any other Defense. My Vikings don't even have 1 dude, let alone 9 with legit Pro Bowl talent. But hey, Offensively what RB room in the NFL is better than Najee, Warren, and Cordarrell Paterson ?? Please tell me!! The TE Frieremuth was hurt last year but caught 60+ balls his first 2 seasons in the league. Mike Ditka is the only other TE in NFL history. And that WR George Pickens. Listen I love my guy Jefferson. Would not give Jefferson up for anybody but damn. The Pickens dude has more natural talent. A wider skill set. Watching the film with Pickens made me realize how rare of a Receiver he actually is. I have a hard time comparing his game, his skill set to any other player in the game. Dude is different. And the OLine has 2 Tackles drafted in 1st Rd in the last 2 drafts and a Center from West Virginia that can claim a spot on the Top10 list, already. Yes Zack Frazier is the real deal* *I study the NFL. Study the tape. The Steelers are not even sneaky in my opinion. They just need average QB play to be a true AFC Contender*
The key here will be injuries, if no major injuries to any of our top players then I agree with everything you have said. NFL sleeping on the Steelers and have them having Mike Tomlin his first losing season. I don't agree like you said this defense has the potential to be really special.
