The joke with everyone knowing Shapesmith was a Martian gets even funnier when you remember the original Guardians team *had* a Martian on the team literally named Martian Man, so of course they'd all immediately be able to sniff out a Martian.
Cecil is always playing an angle with everyone he deals with. Immediately when he gets called out he pivots trying to get something out of it no matter what. The whole argument with Mark about his brother was to see where Mark was mentally and as soon as Mark said he would check in showed he was still willing to take orders from him. Cecil has to be this way though, he's thinking about the protection of the planet 24/7.
Yeah. A lot of the times though he makes good points. Like telling Debbie Nolan’s 2nd kid should have a trained professional caretaker instead of a neighborhood babysitter. The kid could develop powers much younger than mark did and accidentally kill the babysitter.
@coltonpiper6156 Under Cecil's care, they know that baby would be too tempting of a guinea pig to him, though. No way they wouldn't take his blood and DNA.
I'm so happy I'm not the only one that got "Sokka's vibes" while watching Rex. He reminded me a lot of him, with his gestures, voice, movements, the jokes, easy going attitude and resiliance to keep figthing.
I think a big part is that the League is severely underpowered compared to the power level of their enemies most of the time so everyone just sees some silly losers getting beat up, but this fight was pretty even and went down to the wire. There's also the implication that they were led by an idiot before their current leader. That has an effect on combat prowess.
Show is really capturing the core of the comics. Just wait for the shock and awe coming!! Loved how Pudgy was jumping with glee when Allen the Alien returned. As for the break taking so long the rumor was that they worked in season 2 and 3 and used the break between part 1 of season 2 to work on more of season 3 so that we have less time after season 2 end before season 3 comes out. I hope that rumor is true as it means by time we get season 3 to air 4 is close and hand as they want to limit time off between seasons.
It was good but the writing seemed so, so off to me. The dialogue is very stripped down, conversations are terse and awkwardly cut, and some stuff just defies reason. Like how does Mark not want to go home immediately to his family and to warn Earth? They are fine without him? Really? Is he suffering from amnesia? He must be to not even drop word to Cecil, "By the way, Viltrum stopping by sooner rather than later, not sure what you want to do about that."
@@fredwin Because he felt that was his way to help his dad and his lil brother's planet. He probably also doesn't know what he can do to stop an invasion on his own , He knows he'll prob need other viltrumites to stop em . Which is why when he gets to see his mom he immediately asked about his dads books because he know the answer may be there. The writing isn't off Mark is just preparing as he should be in the shadows .
To be fair, it never showed the older female vultrimite die, people are just assuming she did. Just like they assumed Lucian died. She had her jaw busted, Lucian was gutted. Which one sounds more likely to survive? Obviously busted jaw. And we know Lucian survived being gutted, and that Invincible survived being pummeled by his dad and by Battle Beast. We know it’s hard to kill Vultrimites and that they recovered from almost anything. So obviously she’s still alive…
I thought he immediately died after calling in to the rest of the viltrumites. Like he summoned the last bit of strength he had to paralyze Nolan and finish his mission.
I like how the way Donald calls for the room to be cleared is literally verbatim how Cecil has said it previously, right down to the "you heard me" part.
Rex, as he becomes a better person, gives me huge Sokka vibes, especially with Jason Mantzoukas' delivery in that scene with Eve. Even when he's having a serious, heartfelt conversation, his mannerisms and tone just make me laugh.
Cecil said Omni-man’s body shielded Donald from the blast, but in the surveillance video of his ‘death’ in episode 4, he is standing between Omni-man and the explosion. So either that’s a big plot hole of Cecil is still lying…
@@RealBrianLeFevre he said that when he was trying to convince Donald that he survived the explosion. That is when Donald shows him the skin he cut off, exposing the skeleton calling Cecil on his lie, then he explains that only Donald's brain was still salvageable.
@@adamneuert9278 You’re confusing the scene in the control centre with the scene in the the white room. He didn’t tell Donald about Omni-man’s body shielding him until later when he was showing him the robot skeleton and explaining why they were able to salvage his brain.
I don't get the sus on Cecil. Everything he does is "for the greater good". He's the Varys of the show, he's the "the ends justify the means" type, and for a good reason. The things he does isn't morally good but it benefits the Earth, and that's far from selfish.
Please explain to me why people have a hard time seeing cecil for the hero he is? He is a human who is trying to protect earth, even if that mean making sacrifices. He is a ruthless hero that world and even ours would need
tread lightly A.R. for questioning House Spartan is treason and immediate annihilation. to answer you question, i think the world is nuanced and we see many different perspective, while Cesil is absolutely needed in that world, he's also very manipulative and tricky, because no doubt he has had to be but sometimes it leads to him playing 'god' and deciding right and wrong which is dangerous power in any one mans hand. fighting the fight for so long can make it hard to trust new more idealistic ideas that may have merit. but i agree Cesil isnt all bad, but we watch from Marks perspective and naturally side with him more. now i repeat....TREAD LIGHTLY

I'm annoyed with how this show is going. It's not as good as the 1st season, the fact that they split it in two with 3months in between is dastardly, the constant still pictures and poor animations.
