    Total losses for maximum efficiency will be 4000 watt
    Bcoz bcoz transformer works at maximum efficiency when it is at 50% loaded so copper loss will become 1000 watt
    Therefore total loss at maximum efficiency will be 3000+1000=4000

      For maximum efficiency
      Pi=Pcu
      Iron losses are fixed once transformer is made
      And the value of Pcu depends on the value of current
      So only Pcu can be changed
      Thats why we take
      Pi=Pcu

      @@AnkitMishra-gg2lq yes but transformer works at maximum efficiency when it is 50% loaded means only half load is connected as load is reduced to half copper losses will become 1/4 of 4000 but iron losses are independent of load so it will be 3000 hence total losses at Max efficiency is 1000+3000=4000 w

      Because iron losses in a transformer are constant
      Copper losses are variable
      So we cannot take copper losses
      Hence,we can take only iron losses

      The correct answer is 4000 W
      Because condition for maximum efficiency is
      Copper loss = Iron loss or
      Variable loss = Fixed loss
      Then copper losses are variable losses and value of copper losses in question is 4000 w
