Granted that Objective criticism on a language that is “less likeable” should be the way to go for civilized and educated people; So pathetic are those that shit on English dubs but are not fluent in Japanese themselves. At times, I question what they are so pompously proud of. Their ability to read subtitles? Basically the ability to read which is something that all anime watchers (unless illiterate) can do. In the end, the dub shitters just cant admit their jealousy. They know English and possibly the only language they know so why werent they hired to voice Dio or Jotaro? Why does it have to be THAT Seitz guy and Mercer guy, HUH? Why cant it be anyone that knows the English language?
While Za Warudo would be remembered and remain Iconic forever, what I love about the English Dub is that DIO had different cues everytime he stops time, as if he's literally telling The World to stop at his command.

Oh my God. I mean the Japanese voice acting is amazing, but this is just something else. The voice actor just killed it. Due to the fact that English is much more capacious than Japanese and Dio is British in the story, it sounds very authentic. Shouts like "grind to a halt" and "come forth, the world" give it variety and extra coolness. I also love that the va took the role seriously and gave it his all. I don’t know how things are in general with English dubs, but in Russia, even the official voice actors, it seems to me that they don’t take anime seriously enough, their emotions are too theatrical and they overact. It's nice to see that the English voice actors respects the characters.

The English dub has MUCH more variety in how DIO commands his power. I also think both voices fit perfectly, and love how Pat Seitz put so much into his role

They were getting the versions of anime episodes without voices and so it was a proper dub, not just a voiceover. Now that studio still dubs anime, but without a license because of the war. I can't tell you for sure how it is now because I only watch with subtitles.

The time stop’s range is infinite, but Dio’s ability to act is dependent on if his 10 meters work in his favor. The thing is I think his time stop period is longer than Jotaro’s in Part 4. The problem is Dio wastes his time stops to gloat how much more superior he is and he keeps rambling instead of actually attacking his opponent like Jotaro. He only had a maximum time of 9-11 seconds in the anime, so he needed to act quickly.

Even though I like the sub voice acting I think the dub is pretty solid only thing I can say is muda isn’t quite as good and useless doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as muda it’s a hard thing to accomplish regardless

I'm glad they dropped the accents because they definitely overdone it at times. Half the time while watching Battle Tendency I could barely tell what Stroheim and Suzi Q are saying.
