Mayflower II departs Mystic Seaport! 4K Drone Experience!

As a full time resident of Plymouth, MA and one of the premier maritime drone guys around, I have wanted to film this moment for a while now! I filmed her leaving Plymouth for Mystic, now she has left Mystic...one more leg to go - the Cape Cod Canal and Cape Cod Bay! ! After an extensive overhaul to say the least, the Mayflower is nearly ready to return home! Just a few sea trials and USCG paperwork and the grand old gal will make her way home to Plymouth, MA! P4P 2.0 & MA2!

Very nicely put together video. Majestic. That said I hate how she is always pulled or pushed by tugboats. It is not like she is original. Unfurl her sails and let her do what she was meant to! I think that I have seen one video where she is underway by her own power.

She is being towed to New London for two weeks of sea trials and inspection first.

First off: boats are referred to as she.
Second off, she is a sailing vessel. She has no consistent power such as engines. Because of this she is more often than not towed everywhere
