Child of the 80s…BLUE!
The LBS 1/3 DC line is inspired by Alex Ross, so Black is the one to get (AR Batman is typically in the Black suit).
Even though I’m getting Black and like it more, I love all the love Blue is getting here.
Blue.. read Batman comics in the late 80s and 90s. I always associate him with the two Jims, Aparo and Lee.

Pre order the Black one with all the switch outs, thinking of pairing Bat Man with the Alfred Pennyworth Prime one Statue. You had me doubting my choice for a second when you highlighted the blue suit.

Yea I’d definitely go with the blue if I had the choice, I think it looks the best, especially with the yellow belts.
I wish these companies would just get into the habit of doing everything in both 1:3 and 1:4 scales
I snagged the regular black/grey. Can’t miss with that Alex Ross portrait. Only one I need.
I ordered the premiere, but will only display it how the regular looks so I guess I didn’t need it all.

Batman 89’!!! This is my first Batman piece in years, Blue is the definitive Batman for me. Jay adjusted the unmasked portrait and added a grappling hook option across both hands. This piece just keeps getting better 🎉

I’m going the black version being it’s more the Alex Ross look to me. Btw Jay has updated the Bruce Wayne portrait and indeed slimmed the thighs up. Both premiers will also get a switch out of Batman holding a bat rope added free.
Great video Gem! For me if I was primarily going to rock long ears, I would definitely go with the black and grey. If I was going to primarily rock the Batman '89 emblem I would go with the blue and grey. Now the questions is how the hell to decide between them.

Yea the only thing I don’t like it how they did the texture on the cape, I would have preferred if those chose a different texture finish.

Both versions are great and your review gives it the touch.
I grew up with the blue Cape and cowl so would prefer the blue but understand why the black would be impressive as well. Won't be getting it because of it being 1/3 but word is they might be making it in 1/4. Looks like they covered all the bases with the many options. Something for everyone.

Yea it’s a really cool Batman statue, definitely my favourite of this entire line, better than the Marvel ones. I love all the switchouts, the different belts are cool.
I think this is an example of switch outs for the sake of switch outs.

I agree. Black just feels like the definitive Batman. Usually for me it’s always Blue. But the switch outs don’t work as well on Blue IMO. It was not an easy choice though. I’m getting black as all switch outs look great and it just has the that definitive feel.
My collection is all Superman, but I love Alex Ross and ordered the black. I’m planning on displaying the trinity in front of my original seven print.

Definitely BLUE!! 🎉 the second one! Oh wait, okay I get it! The Blue/Grey Premier Edition because of STANCE and Posture like he's looking down on the city as its guardian from up top whereas the first he could be looking at the Bat Signal yet it's got the Superman/even Cap upward looking heroic vibes. Batman always struck me as serious and stern, while he's at work. Also, in beginning of Hush, his interior monologue touches on this difference between him and Clark.

Im just not feeling this piece. I don’t think it tops Batman hush batcave
I wouldn't consider this as a definitive batman. You're being influenced by the artist and the scale. Sadly all of legendary beasts 1/3 line are boring. Museum pose, not dynamic, it's uninspiring. I'd rather get sideshow dark night premium format with the lightning. Batman looks beefy, intimidating, dynamic, textured, painted well, tells a story of him fighting crime at night. Onto of the fact that it has joker as an Easter egg. Hands down.
It’s all subjective and many people prefer museum poses over action. This is the definitive Batman to me too.
None cutting back this year until BIDEN and Democrats get out of power.... When you dump food, insurance, mortgage and gas on a 125k income I am struggling 😂 not sure how you all do it buying statues right now. Love the statues
