Yes, sometimes it's hard to dissect those mixes. The "hollow beat" sound on beats 2 and 4 is actually a woodblock with a lot of reverb on it. It isn't shown in the video because I was running out of room for little boxes... 😆 The small hand drum is making more of a tapping sound. Listen closely to hear it. I love the way Marvin and company used bells and various percussion. You can make sounds like that today with a keyboard synthesizer, but I wanted the real deal. Elisa Vargas, percussionist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Venezuela, was very kind to lend us her talents! Peace

The group is spot on but the lead vocalist ruined it, he messed up the performance for the rest. Somebody has to pull him aside and show him the replay. He is awful
Having produced the video, of course I disagree with your assessment of the vocalist. He's a wonderful singer, great to work with, and he did exactly what I wanted and more. Not sure what you mean by "show him the replay" anyway... It's a virtual performance. Everyone made their own videos and reviewed them well before they were edited together. We're proud of our collective effort. Thanks for watching though!
