They definitely made Saved By The Bell more over the top and cartoonish compared to Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which the episodes of this season were originally part of.
I knew a tough guy in high school who could barely read and write. We were friends and got into role-playing games through a cool teacher. Long story short, my friend loved the game and fully engrossed himself into it; and because of it, he learned to read and write like a pro (and improve his arithmetic) within the year.
I went thru this in a classroom. He hated anyone that wanted to learn and targeted me. Teachers could NEVER an existence of anyone who didnt want to go to school and or learn.
Miss Bliss discovers that Deke does so poorly in school, copies answers from other people's tests and bullies other people to do work for him because HE CAN'T READ. When she asked him if his parents know, his response was, "Who do you think taught me not to read?" Miss Bliss does convince Deke that if he is to get anywhere in life and make something of himself, he has to learn to read. She arranges special classes for him.
the 1st Saved by the bell had more heart. the 2nd while funnier and more interesting didn't quite have the same vibe. Dropping the non lisa girl and the other boy other than screech and zack were really good moves though in casting. Kelly, AC Slater were excellent. Jessie wasn't needed but meh.

One of my favorite episodes is when Mr. Belding’s brother comes in. At first he wins over the kids with zest and charm but in the end Zack has a deeper appreciation for the principal after they have an argument. One of the lines is “I’m tired of covering for you. Get out of my school.”
As I recall, the brother was going to take the class on a water rafting trip. He "got sick" on that day, though, except that he told Zach he was going to get to spend the day with a stewardess. Principal Belding filled in for him (not sure if he took them on the trip or made them stay in school). He said, "I know I'm not the coolest Belding." Zach finished the statement with, "But you're the best one."
Zack and Mr. Belding were on opposite sides of each other's transgressions, but they truly deeply respected one another. I'm sure if Zack Morris and Richard Belding's characters were real people, they would have become friends for life.

4:05 Charlie Sheen Jr was a bully when he looked like that and could have gotten any girl he wanted...
I miss kmart
Why does it seem like Screech is much smarter in the earlier episodes? Like every progressing episode he becomes more dimwitted
It’s because of poor script writing. Somehow they thought it was more comical to make Screech more clueless. But I didn’t really like it either.
I was just thinking that as I watch this clip. Screech was weird but when he got older they made him into a bumbling unrealistic character. If they would have made him into just a smart but slightly odd older character I'll bet Dustin would have been a lot better off.
He becomes a total idiot in the new class
I though his name was d i c. .. you know what letter is next
Rip dustin diamond
He said it’s not funny 🥰
The karate guy from nightmare on elm street
Felt like watching 3 O'Clock High where Buddy wants to beat up a geek & Back To The Future where Biff has George doing his homework. but when Deke decides to not fight Screech the whole story changes.
A.c slater woulda had broken his bones ez mode tho 🤣 if he walked in seein screech bein picked on...if this happened in a later season...
Am I the only one who found this better than the rebooted version?
The reboot was terrible.
I was MAJORLY disappointed with the reboot!
