I agree with the other comments that suggest exploring antidepressants. When I battled cancer, I found a great therapist. I could express anger, tears, self-pity, and whatever else I needed. It freed me from talking about the deep and dark things with family or friends. I felt safe. I also have a weather app on my phone that lists the times of sunrise and sunset. It makes me happy to see the days getting longer, especially during major snow last week.

Very sad to hear about your situation! 😢 But lovely to see you! You are a special person and you are giving so much by opening up your sad heart and making other sufferers less lonely in their pain ❤

Alana, I don’t know if your on anti depressants, if your not you need to talk to your GP. And ask for some. Do not suffer with depression with out help. Once your on a downward spiral it’s hard to come back up. Believe me I know. And anti depressants helped me massively. Don’t suffer on your own. There is no need to. They take a couple of weeks to kick in but they are worth it. Once your on them it will lift you out of your depression and then at least you will be able to do the things you love to do again. Please you shouldn’t be suffering in this day and age. Sending you a virtual hug. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@@AlanaDeadly Do you think your anti depression tablets might need tweaking ? Just a thought. Do me a favour in your next video can you please explain what that Tamoxifen drug is and what it’s supposed to do to help you. Because I don’t know. And probably a few others won’t know. If that’s ok with you. Isn’t there an equivalent to that drug that they could try on you ? Just a few thoughts. I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I agree with you,Alana,it’s no way to live
How much more chance of cancer not returning on Tamoxifen as opposed to not taking it
My Mother chose not to use it as well as some You Tubers so carefully weigh all your pros and cons deciding whether that 3% chance is worth it
Hard to make such a decision but do your research and then follow your guts
    Good Luck
    Warm Hugs xx 😊

Alana I also agree with another comment about antidepressants or antianxiety pills, i take prozac and xanax small dosages but they have helped a lot. They will certainly help you with sleeping. I was also given medication for my bones (which the tamoxifen takes its tole on) calcioral D3. Also the effects from radiation can start as late as six months after with fatigue but that goes away in a month... please see about the depression and anxiety because your mental state is that which is not helping your body to recover💕💕

Sweetie you have been to hell and back no wonders that you are struggling, my mom did the same and ended up getting a depression because she thought that she could do it all because the cancer was away.
Give your body time to heal after the hard chemotherapy.
    Big hugs from Denmark 🌹🥰🇩🇰

Hi Alana. I can't say I know how it feels to have gone through cancer and to now be on tamoxifen with its terrible side effects. But what I can say is I'm 48 and I've been going through perimenopause for the last few years and, from what I've read about the side effects of tamoxifen, it's at least similar to the side effects of natural menopause. Going through perimenopause, for me, has been challenging at best, and devastating at worst. Sleep disturbance, aching joints exhaustion, depression - - all of this is due, mainly, to hormone imbalance, especially low estrogen. Hormones are NO. JOKE. They help our bodies do the basics of what bodies are supposed to. It has enraged me that women have not been better informed about both natural and medically induced menopause and what the ramifications are. I would NEVER give advice to you about what you should do. Like you said, the stakes are too high and I know too little about it. But what I do know about is that imbalanced hormones and hormonal deficits have their own health risks associated with them. And if it were me in your position, I would weigh: A. what are the risks associated with not taking Tamoxifen ...with, B. what are the risks of having a hormonal deficit (links to heart problems, Alzheimer's and osteoporosis) that might be worsened by Tamoxifen, and C. like you keep saying, what is my quality of life being on this drug? Because there's living and there's just existing. If it were me, I would ask questions of experts in these areas. I would not just be looking at cancer as the only risk for my health. There are other diseases to worry about that I don't think are explained enough to women in relation to their hormonal changes. Not to mention mental health which is infinitely important to maintain and include in your consideration. If it were me, this is what I would do - - - I would arm myself with information on the risks from ALL sides so I can make an informed decision I can be peaceful about.

Have the docs said there's another drug they can give you? Have you heard of Lupron injections? They're given once a month - sometimes even once every three months. I'm not sure if you're eligible for it, but it might be worth asking about. ❤
