Full props to you for your own design and fabrication of this build. It looks great and very sturdy. I have looked at many other designs made from pine and other wood species, but I find that the plywood design looks a lot more rigid and sleek. Well done! Cheers!
kenton Fielding I am very pleased with how it turned out. My daughter uses it nearly every day to help us make meals and even “help” us with the dishes.
Rendel Anderson yeah I have made quite a few of these and did make one with a back rail. The only tile I found it to be needed was when my daughter shoved my son off of it :-). Other than that I haven’t really seen a need for it.
Well the platform is adjustable. I simply built it to have 3 different heights for the platform. The cross pieces with the arch cut into them are all identical so I simply made the step as low as I could get it to the ground to make it easier for tiny legs.
@@Foleywoodworking thanks for the reply! I think I may have misworded my question. I was more wondering in terms of “depth” how much stair you have exposed beyond the platform. So the stair is obviously not lined up directly under the platform, otherwise it would be very difficult to climb, but how much “step” is actually exposed so they can step on it easily and then poop themselves up on the platform. By the looks of the video is it about 3 inch(?) stagger between step and platform? Hope this is a little more clear.

Looks like it turned out well. Thanks for the video and for the inspiration to make one for my kids.

I know these as "learning towers", did you consider a rail so the cold can't fall out?

Hi there! I was just wondering what the distance is between the end of the platform is and where the step starts? Thanks !

@@aliciafalls4126 there is about 2” of reveal between the platform and the step / the step is 2” proud of the platform.
hi, where can i find the digital plans for this helper tower?
The Wood whisperer has some good plans. It isn’t exactly the same thing but it serves the same purpose.
What is the name of that yellow block at 4:30?
