Things are taking significant shape! The next few episodes are going to fire! What did you think of episode 4 of Loki?
Absolutely!!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!!!
The hints of Loki liking Sylvie were there from the beginning if you go back and watch. Loki's interest was peaked the moment he spoke to her in Roxxcart. Then when they were first on Lamentis when they ran to the shack he saved her and she said he saved her only to charge the tempad. He stammered a bit and then agreed it wasn't for another reason, but he was clearly lying. Then the train scenes from their conversation to him singing to her (the lyrics of which makes it even more obvious). It happened quickly for him because of all people, she is the only one who can TRULY understand who and what he is. That's why they kept highlighting him feeling if he deserved to be alone in this episode.
Of course it takes the breaking of reality for him to find love with another version of himself, in true Loki fashion.
On another note, it makes sense why they have amalgamated the characters of Enchantress and Lady Loki. By having her identify as Sylvie and having a completely different backstory, she's in essence not a 100% carbon copy of Loki. At the same time, her core is the same as him which makes the connection to him a lot easier. Pretty smart decision.
The credit scene got ME so hyped
Business has picked up
Reality almost broke because of Loki and Sylvie Love Each Other
and confused about it. Its been hinting in Episode 3 and now Episode 4 :)
i ship them
Sylvie doesn't know why she was taken. What she said on Lamentis was her theory and thoughts about being born the goddess of mischief. But on the elevator she asked Ravonna what her Nexus Event was. She really doesn't know for sure.
Sorry to make a whole other comment, but I have a theory in regards to why they came and got her as a child:
The different Loki's throughout the multiverse are fine for them as long as they play their role and become a foil for the heroes. Sylvie, I believe, was going to differ off of that path and the reason I think that is when she was playing with the toys she was pretending a Valkyrie was saving Asgard from a dragon. My guess is, what if since she found out she was adopted earlier than other Loki's it changed her whole path and she would end up wanting to be a Valkyrie or a hero. That was the moment that changes off the path they want and they came and collected her.
Another reason I believe in this theory is because when her and Loki were sitting on Lamentis and she put her hand on him that branch started drastically veering off even though that planet was being destroyed. That was the moment Loki fully fell for her I think and Loki's are just not supposed to find love because it changes who he/they are.
Now, I could be totally wrong, but that's where my head is. Would love to know your thoughts.
Quite possibly. It would be an event that would “change” the structure of the timeline. There had to be something happen at that particular point to cause a nexus event. With the hand on lamentis it could purely be because they had a connection by proximity and holding one another. Two time variants interacting would cause a sharp spike as opposed to just one doing little things. But it could very well be part of Loki’s going against their predetermined path of loneliness and isolation to find one another and love in a way.
Loved your thoughts
@@FandomZone Yeah, another thing I noticed on rewatch was Sylvie and Loki held hands when they ran through the streets of Shuroo trying to get on The Ark in Ep.3, yet no branch. This time though they showed a reaction shot from Loki right when she did it and then one of her. Almost as if both didn't feel alone any more in that moment and then BOOM! You looking for this? Branch happens during an apocalypse.
It's interesting you didn't notice the romantic framing in the last episode. I'm not saying it's not weird, but Loki literally serenaded her while gazing at her in a pretty suggestive manner. The song he was singing was in Norwegian and was about a fair maiden calling the lonely traveller home. It felt pretty obvious to me that they were definitely not being framed as brother/sister. Not to mention the fact that the episode was also somewhat inspired by Richard Linklater's "Before Sunrise" - a romance movie. Especially that scene of them talking on the train.
I don't think it was the framing of the romantic interest that we didn't notice per se, more the different interpretation we took from it that both being tricksters didn't trust one another and the concept of them being alone with that sort of bond. Finding that unlikely ally and connection amongst calamity. That being said, Loki finding love in another version of Loki is a very Loki thing to do.
Very interesting point about the "Before Sunrise" inspiration, will look into that.
Being selfish and only thinking of himself and actually learning that he is admirable and can love himself (and Sylvie, who really isn’t himself, but is another, completely separate version of himself) are two totally different things. Loki says he’s a narcissist (and narcissists, by definition, don’t know how to love, they only know manipulation as a means to get their selfish ends) and he’s changing/growing into someone who cares for others and is starting to love himself as an individual. I think that’s the point of the nexus event.
25:06 @Fandom Zone,
I don't think the TVA came for Sylvie because she was born female--they came for her well after she was born. I think they came for her in an attempt to prevent what's already come to pass, sort of like Time Cop--she hadn't done anything when they arrested her, save for playing with toys.
I think the TVA or Ravonna, really, kicked off the thing she thought she was saving the TVA from.
All Lokis are different because they all come from different universes. The Sacred Timeline is the Multiverse, remember? Miss Minutes said that the Time-Keepers reorganized the Multiverse into the Sacred Timeline. I think the Sacred Time is the Multiverse following a scripted story, and the TVA is charged with making sure their respective stories playout. The Sacred Timeline is like a fishbowl trying to control the size of the Multiverse, and this is likely why they have to clip the branches.
The TVA is looking more and more like it's something Kang created. Kang has a master intellect, unbelievable engineering skill and the ability to make superpowered people like nothing in his presence...which is what the TVA is, isn't? The TVA turned numerous Infinity Stones in to glorified paperweights and it made every Loki that's come before them powerless. They have the power to remove people and events from the timeline with an effortless swipe. That's a future technology no one in the MCU understands. That and the TVA's motto, "For All Time. Always," sounds screams Kang!
I don't know if Ravonna is going to be his love interest in the MCU, but she somehow, after a huge blunder, she went from hunter to judge? I think she did what she did to protect Kang's trophy and interests, and maybe he fell in love with her as she was different from all the other variants he placed there, she likely did what she did for him.
Aside from being a scripted story, I think the Sacred Timeline is Kang's source of power, as I think he's harvesting the energy from them. We learned last week that a massive amount of energy is needed to recharge the Time Pad and Loki and Sylvie set out to steal the power source of the Arc to do it. The TVA has thousands or hundreds of thousands of Time pads, Rest Charges and other devices capable of time travel and these things get recharged as though it's nothing. If you can syphon power from the universes, you wouldn't worry about the usage of such things--they only worry about paperwork of all things, lol. I think the Sacred Timeline is also fueling Kang's war on the Multiverse in the distant future as that's where he likely is.
I can't wait for next week to show us what happens next.
Given how what we have learned about the time keepers this episode, it could very well be likely the sacred timeline is nonsense overall. I’m leaning towards who ever is in charge removing threats and amassing power by controlling time to be the best possible outcome for them by ruling over that timelines outcomes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Loki’s were targeted as they represent chaos and uncertainty as a precautionary matter.
Regardless the outcome, it’s going to be interesting, even if we are left with more questions than answers at the end of episode 6.
It's 5 o'clock here, Wednesday morning, I've been up for a couple hours already and I'm still watching reaction videos lol for episodes 1 through 5, because I'm so terrified to watch the season finale, in case it sucks, in case it's crushingly disappointing.
(I'm just not ready, I guess. I need to grow a pair, huh?! 😇) it's probably going to be fine.
Okay! Here goes! ✌
In terms of Sylvie's gender being a nexus event, I wonder if she and he were were coexistent and that the time keepers didn't decide until that point which should belong in the "sacred" timeline... that until that point it could've gone either way. I suppose it's possible that at that point, it was Loki who did something that solidified him as the appropriate Loki. But by that logic, it's possible that anyone could've done something at that time that made it necessary somewhere further down the road for Loki to be male. This is all conjecture, but it's an interesting puzzle. Excited to see how they work it out.
Blade or even morpius from the other side on sonys universe
This episode played with my mind so much but it was a perfect episode imo.
It’s an episode that makes you reflect on the ones before it and potential implications. Loved it
Love your reaction 😂😂
I said the same thing when mobius said vampires, hopefully we get Count Dracula Vs. Blade & The Rest of this version of The Howling Commandos.
Get the monster howling commandos in to take the place of Dum Dum and co
@@FandomZone I agree, we need to see more monsters, but I do want to see sasquatch tho'. That's a monster that shouldn't be forgotten.
Alpha flight are bound to make some sort of appearance soon. Even if it’s a cameo.
Brilliant episode all round absolutely agree think its the best one so far. to summarise for me definitely Love Sylvie lol I swear if they kill her off by the end of the series IL LOSE MY SHIT LOOL although not going to lie I actually quite like the implied relationship between the two if only because its a completely different side to Loki we never thought possible so I want it to happen But my god that woman the Judge can get the hell of my screen for her nonsense she was a prick way before she became a judge as we see so early on. and aaghhhh Mobius I'm sure we were all looking forward to seeing him with a Jet Ski maybe it can still happen, maybe one of the things Sylvie will be told is what actually happens to people when they are pruned. CANNOT WAIT FOR EPISODE 5 Another great insightful video by you guys as well
Still pissed they did mobius like that !
I wonder if we will see him or a version of him again.
He was probably thrown into a dumpster world like Loki was.
@@PorkotylerClips yeah where Every Timeline is neutral
I did she guess that all the tva agents turn out to be variants
An xray mind? Lol
FYI, the show's volume was too low.
I am going to be SO friggin' disappointed if it's revealed, at the end, that the, "ultimate antagonist," behind the TVA and everything is a character like "He Who Remains," or Kang the Conqueror.
I mean, not only because 80-90% of the audience is in the "casual fan" demographic, a tiny fraction of whom would even know who those characters are to begin with, without having to look it up or ask their nerdy Comic Book fan teenager living in the basement.
But, because it's been so easily predicted by everyone else, who do have more than a passing familiarity with those character, from either the fandom or the Comics themselves.
It just seems like the great "Marvel Cinematic Universe," should be able to come up with a more satisfying, cathartic, and most importantly less predictable outcome than that.
But, what do I know lol right?!?
I've certainly been wrong, and more importantly disappointed, many MANY times before.
Whatever, I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞that it turns out to be something more clever. More satisfying, more cathartic, and a HELL of a lot less predictable.
I guess we'll find out soon enough! ✌
It's Wednesday morning now, here we go!!!
Your wife is so beautiful. Take her out on a great date. You both deserve it. You guys are awesome. Love from America.
Thank you very much. That will make Jules' day to hear.
I feel the same about the Loki/Sylive thing. I could see Loki fall for a variant of himself but Sylvie has shown 0 interest in him in any romantic way. I just hope she will actually kindly reject him and I just felt a twin/sibling bound between them. Romantic feels wired!
