The Russians I met in real life do smile when there's a reason to, I consider it to be a sort of honesty, and I prefer it more than the artificial "professional" smile which some people always put on their faces.
Absolutely! This was talked about on several ex-pat interviews and from the "Not Foreigner" channel and from AnnaGlobalTravel! This viewer also prefers the honesty and integrity, which seems to be lacking in the west, and as someone with a naturally solemn expression. It makes the smiling and laughter mean something more when it happens only when called for, as opposed to when it's forced! That makes people think someone is a grifter, trying to sell something, probably bad.
I was really put off by artificial smiles of Canadians when I emigrated to Canada 35 years ago from not smiling at that time Poland. Now I see that artificial " friendly " smiles everywhere in New polish generation of sellers.
Oh, goodness gracious, she's drop-dead-gorgeous! Just discovered this channel and this gorgeous lady! Have been trying to, albeit casually, learn more Russian after taking a shine to them and their culture and songs, singers, and dances over the past two-and-a-half-months now, and have long-desired to visit and travel across Russia from coast-to-coast! Am increasingly tempted by the prospect of residing there as an ex-pat, as well, after seeing many ex-pat interviews and virtual tours across Russia and hearing their positive testimony! Thanks for the hard work in the cold, ma'am! /bow

As much as i like Russian and respect the language and what is related to it, i will have to pass and start with Czech. I will try Russian later on, but first i must collect all sounds that could pass as portuguese, which are closer. Maybe through that I can somewhat simplify the learning process, work as a mnemonic. These sounds are already inside our brains, requiring only a "reshaping", so I just have to give a meaning in Russian, so that I can continue to the Grammar, which is almost the last step before dominating the language and proceed with Poetry, the greatest form of any language.
Actually that is Western propaganda. You as Russians should not give it any importance. Western laughter is just marketing; people who don't laugh either have many problems and fears. Russia is Russia and it is what it is See you later...😁

The island-looking peninsula? Well, all countries are imaginary, abstract concepts, in this user's humble opinion, as communal property doesn't work and private property is pre-political, but as far as those who do believe in it, it's Russian, as many there do not like the abuse they suffer at the hands of the Ukrainian government and are ethnic and cultural Russians, as well as because the Naval Base there was promised to Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union, but was never given to them, so they had to take it back, famously, without firing a single bullet!

The Truth be told, not only do they not smile, but most of them have a bad mood when responding.I,m sorry but it's true!😂😂😂
