Mister Bondy, this haunting song is pure genius. I have listened to it over and over again. You have so eloquently captured the pain fentanyl is inflicting upon this world and the countless good souls it has taken from us... "see you at the pawn shop with my neighbors lawn mower."
a. a. bondy's new record has been playing on repeat, so good ! it would be amazing to get him on 'smallsongs' !
When you've got a tune called "Fentanyl Freddy", you already have my attention before I've even pressed play.
Always loved Bondy, and this new album drops on my birthday. Crazy how the world works sometimes...
foggy, haunting.. encapsulates a mood so well
This song is awesome! Now i gotta go back and listen to believers again!
"I'm not in love, so don't forget it. It's just a silly phase I'm going through" - Bondy puts another incredibly accurate love / hate twist on the need for love (and it's many faces).
I liked Joe Frank when he was alive. I also miss Verbana.. I will digest this better with a good stereo. I am here now.
Mister Bondy, looking forward to seeing you in Austin June 27th. We have been fans since before Souls for Sale and have always loved your work. And once again you have not disappointed. This new album is amazing.
Thank you for sharing this with the world, Scott. ❤️
New music 😭♥️👏👏
Loved the album preview on NPR, and this is a great track!
great track
sad but true
Fentanyl Freddy
Flipped another car
Heard his sister saying
Be better if he died
And I'm a chicken killer
I'm a crush-a-piller
See me at the pawn shop
With my neighbor's lawnmower
I slip a twenty from your purse
I do the family curse
He was a Manson
She was a Fromme
And do my best to stay under
Out of the thunder
Of run your mouth
And president whatever...
Thought this was an AA Bondy track?
@@13magic74 no. It's difficult for me to listen to American Hearts and When the Devil's Loose and know this is the same artist.
Mister Bondy is a genius and as such is constantly reinventing himself. people were saying the same thing when Verbena broke up and he went out on his own.
@@dwv88 fair enough. For me, being that his first two solo albums we're such spot on representations of raw, pure music, listening to an album full of synth and auto tune is far below is abilities. I'm glad you enjoy it, but for me it is a hard pass and a shame to see such a talent go in that direction. We need more musicians to get back to real music.

"He was a Manson, she was a Fromme." Oh Lord. I'm just really happy he's still out there and playing, he's a unique artist in an ocean of common denominators.
