It warmed my heart when Din called R5, Buddy.
6:22 - Grogu and Chopper would be SUCH a chaotic combo, and I'm here for it.
Will take Grogu 800 years to catch up to Chopper's body count...
@@cedric13 Just find a couple Imperial remnant Star Destroyers and Grogu can start catching up quick lol
The ending of the finale was like the end of a western movie.
I feel like that, and Mando making the deal to, essentially, "clean up the west (outer rim)" is a sign the show will return more to the season one formula where it is very western heavy. I think there will still obviously be connecting threads and an overarching story throughout, but I think we are gonna get a lot of bounty hunting in season 4.
This last episode was one of my favorite in the entire run so far, it was as "star wars" as it gets.
I mean, Star Wars (at least the original trilogy) has always been a space western, so it makes sense that a spinoff show in the same setting would feel that way too lol
Reminded me of the ending of Witcher 3's Blood and Wine dlc
That's SW (or at least the first movie) in a nutshell
Din Djarin might be among the best fighters in the galaxy by the simple fact he's one of the only ones who constantly go for the legs and feet XD
Calf kicks are OP even in star wars
Because he is experienced fighting armored fighters.
There is going to be a Season 4. They've also said that Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew and Boba Fett will interconnect the Mandalorian story which will conclude with a movie.
Interesting
I hope so cause i read and article that someone in disney high up was ending mando in season 3 to focus on other things.
@@kylegareau9238 If they change their mind and Season 3 is the end, I can live with that. Moff Gideon defeated, Din adopts Grogu, The Mandalorians are united and have reclaimed Mandalore. Din Djarin and Din Grgou chlling at the cabin. I'm cool with that.
Yeah but that's a ways away from now. 2027 is the rumored date for Dave Filoni's Mandoverse conclusion movie.
@@MM-vs2et Yeah, there's plenty of time to film a season 4 before that, maybe even Ahsoka season 2 as well. Depends how much set up, Filoni needs for the movie.
It's worth rewatching Din's laser tunnel fight sequence to appreciate the subtle genius of the fight choreography. It clearly depicts a character with a lifetime of sparring & fighting against armored opponents (Din) vs inexperienced adversaries (imperial Beskar "alloy" troopers.) Din repeatedly shoots or stabs his opponents in the feet, ankles, undearms, throat and head using upward under-the-chin shots where there are joints or gaps in the targets' armor, and he does this again during the Din + Grogu fight against the Praetorian Guard. Additionally, Din's high powered blaster pistols appear capable of partially penetrating the imperial beskar alloy armor at medium & close range, suggesting it's of inferior quality to The Armorer's handcrafted pure Beskar armor pieces - which has been shown to even be impervious to lightsaber strikes.
My thoughts precisely. Needed more of that during the season but saved it when it mattered most.
Favreau truly is an Iron Man fan, The way Mando fights smart reminds me of Tony
no offence to Din and Boka.. but to me it seems the most valuable Mandalorian alive is the Armorer.. i mean i wonder how many are left in the galaxy that can craft high quality Baskar Armor
Uh Umm! ala John Wick.
Didn’t think of any of this, you know ball.
Why can´t I see that hallway without hearing the Get Smart theme in my head?...
Two things - season 4 starts filming in October of this year according to reports, and “the spies” (the episode title from Ep 7 that threw most of us off and caused a bunch of unfounded speculation on all our parts, including from me) was actually a biblical reference to Moses and his 12 spies (one from each tribe) who Moses sent ahead to scout Canaan on behalf of the Israelites. Including Bo, there were 12 Mandalorians (with members from both tribes) who went ahead to scout Mandalore.
That's pretty awesome thanks for that nugget. I've definitely appreciated all the religious themes that have come up this season.
That's awesome! I wouldn't have connected that at all and I've read Numbers a few times lol
Excellent! Very astute 👍
Much as I would like to see a 4th season 4, they shld have left this at 3; this is a wonderful edning for a show.
Not wise to use Biblical references in a fictional space opera. Who the F do they think they are?
Hands down my favorite reaction group! Everybody else was just overanalyzing and nitpicking instead of enjoying it for what it was which was epicness at it's finest. 🤟🏾❤
I noticed that as well. I stopped watching several reactions because of that very thing. Just enjoy the damn show and stop over-thinking it.
Arguably, "The Mandalorian" in season one was Din, Boba in season two, and Bo-Katan in season three.
How was it Boba fett in season 2 when we meet him in episode 6
@@minops999 let's fight about it
but Grogu was The Mandalorian all along
@@Shinobi-SouLs maybe he'll be the Mando next season
Bruh turn on subtitles. Din is the Mandolorian
Moff Gideoan suit was enhance with a robotic exoskeleton to enhance his physical strength, which why he was so much stronger and able to overpower Bo and Din
Yep, you can hear it in the servo motor noises and the mechanical, deliberate movements.
You mean like how Chris mentioned it?
@@iceman10129 Yep, he does.
I wonder if that cyborg - cockroach-Grievous from Wish thing was somehow connected to the developement of the whole Dark Trooper project/Gideon suit.
Gideon's suit also had knee rockets, which were clearly visible in the close-up shot during his arrival at the ambush in the last episode, although he didn't use them, as far as I can tell.
I predict "Huyang" will construct a "Dark Saber"(Jedi Engineering with a Beskar handle) as a gift from the new Jedi Order to the Leader of the New Mandalorian Republic.
When you re-watch this, notice how Din is very precise on his strikes - joints, eye slits for kill shots. Legs and feet to break balance.
Mandalorians have more experience fighting Mandalorians than anyone else.
Mandalorians are just like the Dark Troopers flying in space in season 2, plus their Helmets have oxygen.
Everyone read way too much into what The Spies meant. It was Bo-Katan's Mando Spies that she recruited around the camp fire to scout the planet and those Mando Spies infiltrated an Imperial Base.
It's a biblical reference, so i could forgive it because most people wouldnt know that to begin with.
Man, seeing the mid-air battles with guns and hammers makes me want a Mandalorian video game. One where you could fly and battle and maybe even custom make your own Mandalorian armor!
People say anthem is pretty close. I’ve been feeling the same since last season. I’ll force myself to play Avengers and use Iron Man to get my fix
They already wrote season 4, and I think there's going to be a significant time jump. Also, there's a Rey movie coming out set 15 years after the sequels that's about a jedi academy. The consensus is that Grogu will probably be a big part of that movie.
Grown up Grogu could be the cool substitute teacher for the academy, teaching all the younglings close combat skills he learned from his dad.
There is something that everybody seems to keep forgetting.....
NOT EVERY MANDO WEARS "FULL BESKAR" !
If you Remember from season one our boy started out with regular Durasteel Mando styled armor. His first piece (besides his helmet) was just a shoulder Pauldron. Only after his big payday did he have enough materials to upgrade to a full suit.
Most do not get full Beskar, and might have pieces and parts.
The imperials don't know the secrets of forging pure Beskar, and usually have Alloys, especially from mass production.
Imaginary hug for Rana... She looks like she needs it...
You sound like you need it... 🤨
and now, the spinoff where IG-11 tries to get back his original ways, kinda like a reverse Robocop, mwahaha >:D
scene of the final episode: IG-11 walks away, over the next hill, the city on fire in the background, IG-11 dragging Karga's dead body in his right claw, cut to the final shot when IG-11's red eyes turn towards the camera and as the last episode fades into darkness, you just hear an echoey, robotic "yes."
The Tie Interceptors hanging like bats was probably one of my favorite set pieces from this episode
Koska Reeves causing one trooper to crash into the one she just disabled, followed by the platform slide, reverse and knee jet action, was a major high point for me. Now I want her to have a spin off. Like a buddy cop story where she is paired with a Watch member.
I love Koska Reeves! she's cool!!!!!!!
Glad they gave sasha banks a highlight, almost thought it was Bo at first
Yeah, seems low key reaction that we finally got a confirmation. I luved it when Axe called for both Bo and Koska.
I don't think Grogu is tired after that force bubble, he sits down like, "Aight, that sh*t's done."
This was an ending of the Din Grogu foundling story.
Now we get the Din Grogu Mandalorian Apprentice story
On baby din yoda hits better
I would have bet my next year's wages on a post-credits scene with Gideon's broken body among the rubble suddenly showing signs of life. I remain unconvinced that he's actually dead.
The reason for thinking she was the spy was that the Armorer's helmet is close to the design of Gideon's.
More specifically for the people that didn't watch the Clone Wars, Darth Maul ruled Mandalore for a while and those loyal to him & the Empire added horns to their helmets.
I love how the Imperial Guards have their own Akatsuki theme music when they arrive😂😂
Im so glad to see Sunil Bakshir give up his Hydra ways and be a badass Mando!
Also Spies is an old term that means Scouts, basically and Grogu will be the first to tame the Mythosaur!!
I like that in S1E1, The Mandalorian was introduced in an opening iris transition (saloon door opening), and S3E8, he (and Grogu) is shown in a closing iris transition.
THIS is the reaction I was looking for...THANK YOU.....I'm not the only one
So because of the deal that Din made with Carson, he and Grogu will become like Batman and Robin. In many other series upcoming every time the Republic gets in a tight spot, Carson will turn on his bat signal, and Din Batman and Robin Grogu will show up.😎 (And maybe Dave filoni too 🤠)
Great visuals and fights, especially the one with the Pretorian Guards and Grogu shielding Din and Bo from the fire was a nice callback to season one :) I hope Gideon survived,it would be cool to see him and Thrawn sharing a scene :)
I know so many people disliked this season, but I think the storytelling was just as strong as ever, despite it not being as flashy and fight-sceney as previous seasons. I also loved the ending. Perfect for a wrap up of this show if need be, but also beautifully sets up a potential return for Moff Gideon. Plus with the reuniting of the Mandalorians, there is room for season 4 to go back to being a more Din-focused season. One with him and Grogu going on little adventures. This show is just perfect! In my humble opinion it's the best of all the Star Wars series. Also, I feel like I'm the only person who sees Bo as more of an aunty to Grogu than a mother figure lol
Meh. People nowadays feed from hate and complaining. They'll call you a "consumer" and try to shoot you down for not being hateful. Whole channels like Theory survive on that caca. Thankfully, they are NOT the majority lol. They're only the sad hateful minority. And since these losers cant elevate themselves in their hate, they try the next best thing for themselves.... getting everyone down to their level. It's the saddest symptom of todays hateful minority.
i think the best part of the episode was the aerial fight scene where bo katan is slicing and dicing with the darksaber and the armorer is just like “it’s clobberin time”
whichever cg studio was in charge of creating the aerial fight scenes deserves a raise
The only 2 issues I had with this finale was that Grogu magically appeared next to Mando and that somehow Bo and Mando never had a conversation after "killing" Gideon as well as spending the past 6 episodes together.
It was magic ... because he used the force to find him ...
@@claymccarthy6198 Mando was escorted away by 3 mandolarion stormtroopers, and grogu was behind the metal wall with Bo Katan.
You have to hand it to Moff Gideon, he was a great villain. Even though his beskar dark trooper armour enhanced his strength, I suppose it made up for the fact that he's literally an old man facing off against multiple opponents who are in their physical primes. And his moves were all his own, he has the fighting skill enough to keep up with Din Djarin and Bo-Katan at the same time. In that suit, he was absolutely *_kicking the asses_* of both Bo and Din, and would've killed them both on his own had Grogu and Axe Woves not interevened. I love how it took a literal light cruiser crashing into him essentially in order to kill Moff Gideon, as none of our heroes were able to do it, even together.
Though, of course, there is always the possibility of Moff Gideon coming back. For starters, he could've definitely survived the explosion. If metal far weaker than beskar alloy survived the inferno, it's always possible that Gideon managed to get away in that air-tight sealed mechanised suit of his. We never saw a body or even a scrap of armour, and I doubt that he would've been completely incinerated given what he was wearing.
An alternative theory could be that the Gideon that fought in this episode was simply another one of his clones brought online earlier than the rest, and that the real Moff Gideon is somewhere else. Additionally, the Shadow Council talked about a "Project Necromancer", which is supposed to produce some form of ultimate imperial leadership. It could be used for Palpatine, Snoke, or even Gideon to a lesser extent. It's always possible for Moff Gideon to return, just like Palpatine himself.
This episode was one of if not my favorite one yet. The CGI alone was off the charts.
26:40 For a short time, Grogu connected with the Mythosaur 🤩! And I think that the Mythosaur sensed Grogu as well 🤔🤯🤩!
The Mandalorian season 4 has been given the green light, and filming starts in October 🤯🤩😎😁😉😌👍!
21:52 in all fairness she’s also an old woman, she’s like 60 something. She’s just aged a bit more gracefully
40-50
who are you talking about? Katee Sackoff is not 60 she was 22-23 in 2003 so now she's 42-43 and she had a baby last year.
@@littlemouse7066 the character of Bo is in her late 50s early 60s. She was around late 20s early 30s by the end of the clone wars plus 19 years to ep4 plus 3 to ep5 plus 6ish months to ep6 and lastly 5 more years to Mando, which roughly puts her at 60
@@ethanwilson7787 wow you know your math lol. are you sure about your calculations? Anyway I didn't watch clone wars but I know she was in it however I don't think anybody has ever stated how mandalorians age and since the actress is younger we can assume Bo-katan is too at least biologically so her age shouldn't make a real difference in a fight.
that Rana face in the thumbnail is screaming to be a meme template
i freakin love this show ❤
So many had big expectations, but i think this season is good enough and i am hyped for the Bountyhunter Duo "The Dins" 😂
He needs another one so they can be the "din sons'
I like it a lot. We always have the Skywalkers.... and now we have the Dins
the stormtroopers in beskar are not dark troopers.
they are a later version of the mandalorian imperial supercommandos
moff gideon is wearing a new type of dark trooper suit.
dark trooper mk 1: clone wars veteran with mecha limbs
dark trooper mk 2: power armour suit
dark trooper mk 3: robot
Moff gideon dark trooper suit: Beskar Power armour suit.
the shot of the armorer coming from the side and completely clomping that dark trooper made me jump the first time i watched ✋🏻
“F*ck being a Jedi. I want to be a MANDALORIAN”
I want to be a MANDALORIAN JEDI
I’m so glad you guys loved this season. I did as well! Here’s to enjoying the shows we love 🥳
As a Catholic, I love the themes of baptism and how in the church babies can be baptized based off of the faith of the parents. Was pretty neat how they incorporated all of that to Mandalorians.
Those air combat shots were extremely anime. Down to the speed lines created by the blaster fire lol
This was so Star Wars!!! Epic finale! It just overwhelms me with joy.
“Where is Grogurito?!”😢😢😢😂😂❤❤❤😅😅😅😮😂
Din Grogu is THE Mandalorian as the Title of the show
Gideon's troopers Armor were made with beskar alloy, where as the Mandalorian Armor is implied to be pure beskar, or at least more beskar content/purity than the troopers for sure.
The Armorer took the sick and wounded Mandalorian survivors to the orbiting fleet, and that's why she wasn't there at the ambush. It was decided between her and Bo-Katan before they headed to the forge (with those who were still able).
There were no Mandalorian spies at all; the title "The Spies" referred to Elia Kane and the Imperials in the holo-meeting.
hey guys, fun easter egg at the end. The bar scene features Dave Filoni in the cowboy hat, and Aang and Katara can be seen in the extreme background walking by outside.
Y'all's said it!! This feels like Star Wars!!! You guys get it! Just good old-fashioned Star Wars!!! Just being in the moment and enjoying the show!!! No over-analyzing, no complaining about whatever expectations! Just having fun!! Thank you!
18:50: Bo every time she rescued the DIN-sel in distress
It feels Din saga is over and now we will have The Mandalorians show. It was a perfect feels good ending full action packed episode and i always enjoyed watching it with you guys because you guys get what this show is: its Star Wars candy, its fan service, its fun and goofy and also heartbreaking at times.
The show is going back to its roots, Din and Grogu adventures. They will be helping Carson Teva on a case by case basis. This will all lead to Dave's movie. Jon has also said he wants the show to go beyond S5 as he loves the dynamic between Din and Grogu and seeing them grow together.
I cried so hard of happines when Grogu became officially Djarins son.
It's Besgar alloy, which means it's forged with other metals to stretch it, so it's weaker than regular besgar
I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video:
"I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible. The episode is and the season as a whole is essentially this re-told!"
You have a typo in the title. It's 3x8 but the title says 3x7. 😊
I also wouldn't put it past then to have Din and Grogu show up in Ashoka
You mean the Dins ^^
Din Grogu has huge implications for the next 300 or so years of starwars.
The new Tarre Vizsla.
The Spie's is a biblical term. Moses sent one each from the twelve tribes of scouts ahead to the promise land to make sure it is safe to go. The Scout team are known as "The Spies" That is what the 3-7 episode was.
season 4 is in development, even if not confirmed yet. And Mando and others will most likely appear in the upcoming New Republic vs Imperial Remnants war film that will be all connected to the live-action TV shows like Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Ahsoka and so on.
It’s ironic that Moff Gideon was killed using the light cruiser, which was originally his but was appropriated by the Mandalorians, when he was notorious for appropriating the weapons and tools of their culture.
If you look closely you can see that the mandalorians are getting around the beskar armour by shooting between the plates, one guy even got shot in the neck
The MSE-6-series repair droid, sometimes referred to as the mouse droid, was a small, box-shaped, wheeled general purpose MSE-series droid often used for.
delivery and maintenance purposes.
But not security, well unless they were reprogrammed. Which all we saw them do is bump into a intruder.
22:11 Gideon was only able to crush the Darksaber because he was wearing a suit of mechanized Beskar armor 😥😓. Maybe the Darksaber can be remade 🤔🤯🤩! And instead of being for the ruler of Mandalore, maybe it could be for Mandalore's champion and chief protector 🤔😉!
John Favreau said he has season 4 already written.
Season 4 is already written. Jon Favreau confirmed it. He and Filoni wrote it during post production on season 3.
gideon clearly said in the episode before that all the dark troopers on the base are clones of himself!
Gideon gives me an idea... What if in the Rey "Skywalker" movie there will be a clone of Vader who is gonna meet Rey and will be like 'What the hak do you think you're doing? I AM SKYWALKER. I suggest you remember that, Rey Palpatine.' 😂
Music when Grogu shields bo and din gave vibes of "we are GROOT" moment.... 😢💕
Lmao Rana’s face in the thumbnail
By the time we see a season 4, we are going to get Ashoka. I feel its likely that they wanted to wrap up the Gideon storyline while last episode hinting at thrawn. And season 4 will be more likely tied into newer events from Ashoka.
The spies could be the shadow council or when the mandos went home to "spy" on the area to make sure it was safe to return
A spy in an older context is a scout - The party that came down with Bo-Katan wer scouts or trying to spy the Great Fordge.
Another great reaction, Normies!
I'm with Rana...the droids make Star Wars for me, too! (Greetings from NorCal to Rana, btw!)
I don’t understand why you thought it was the end??? They literally said Grogu has to go on adventures to become a Mandalorian. And Mando set up doing missions with that pilot from the New Republic on the hush hush.
There is no way possible Disney is not going to milk this for all it is worth and leave things there. Especially because Ahsoka is going to take place either during this season of Mando or directly after. In no way possible are we not going to see Grogu’s homeworld, see Grogu become a full on Mando or Jedi or combination, and no way are we going to not get to see Mandalore rebuilt and all of the politics with the lack of the dark saber.
RIP the Dark Saber. Paz Vizsla finally wields the Dark Saber as his legendary ancestor did... 🤧🖤
Aww hearing y'all talk rebels truly has my hyped as hell for your rebels reactions
Some real Keenan Thompson reaction moments to their "Maybe Ezra has his own lightsaber now!" moment lolz
@@JournoNerd312 oh just they wait. Hahaha why didn't I think of that 😂
Jedi has padawans, mandalorians have family. This is our way.
I’m glad you guys enjoyed the feel good ending and didn’t complain because you didn’t like the payoff. Real stuff
One of the Mandalorians is the actor that played Skinny Pete in Breaking Bad.
17:20 That has to be the reason why he kidnapped grogu?
The theory I heard that I’ve accepted as to why there wasn’t another imperial spy revealed is that it’s a bit of a Biblical reference (the twelve spies) where the mandalorians are spying out the land.
Din is wearing PURE beskar armor.. which is expensive and rare to attain.. most mandalorians wore only BESKAR alloy.. and even royalty only wore parts & pieces of pure beskar. Which is why everyone was staring at Din when he first walked into the bar after getting all his upgraded armor pieces. Also explains why Din is the only one who can run into a fight like a football player while other mandos hang back..
This ending is perfect in a few ways. It gets Din and Grogu off Mandalore. Since there werent any mandos in the sequel trilogy so, if they choose, the imperial remnants or the first order can wipe them out while leaving Din and Grogu alive. Din bounty hunting imperial remnants is perfect for him to pop up in other series, perhaps even Ahsoka if they happen to have the same target. Din being back to bounty hunting will probably get an episode or 2 that feel more like the first season as well for the critics of what direction season 3 went. I think we'll get Gideon back for S4, though it may be a clone, or clones as the big twist, that can use the force in limited ways.
Something I never thought to mention till this episode. My great grandfather last name was changed from Din to Dean when he came to America from Pakistan.
There will be a season 4. The script is in work.
And to give Axe Woves even more credit:
It seems like he has successfully dealt with all the TIEs on his own before he went down.
I figured that since Mando got R5 to help him on Mandalore, restoring IG could solve Nevarro's Needed-Marshall Problem. And See Mando, R5 is good to have around after all (it felt great hearing in the ep Mando call R5 Buddy). Your Astromech Purchase instead of IG Recovery worked out in the long run {we still got IG-11 back in the end as the Protector we all knew he is!!!!!!} And R5-D4, Welcome to Clan Mudhorn!!!! {as well as technically as Mando's 2nd Child!!!}
"The Spies" is a callback to Filloni's Jewish roots. In _Exodus,_ Moses picks 12 men to travel by covert means and scout the Promised Land before the Israelites arrive.
Also, *_Season 4_* confirmed! Followed by a "Filloni-verse" movie.
I died laughing when R5 was getting jumped by the mouse droids.
A note about the "spies" title from last episode. I'm pretty sure the 'spies' were the imperials that were kitted out in beskar gear
Apparently Favreau has already confirmed a season 4
The fleet wasn't in space, they were just higher than the storm.
John said he’s already working on season 4 so it’s not over lol
Actually he said Season 4 is already written and awaiting production.
Most likely they finished writing it quickly to avoid the fallout from the writer's strike.
