The Armorer bringing her forging tools to battles will forever be the coolest and most iconic thing to me. She's so cool. I also loved that shot of Bo holding the dark saber as they flew in. Legendary!
It's because weapons cannot be made out of baskar because they could hurt mandolorian armor..... But as the armoror, shes allowed to "reforge and reshape" with her baskar tools, this is the way
Two things - season 4 starts filming in October of this year according to reports, and “the spies” (the episode title from Ep 7 that threw most of us off and caused a bunch of unfounded speculation on all our parts, including from me) was actually a biblical reference to Moses and his 12 spies (one from each tribe) who Moses sent ahead to scout Canaan on behalf of the Israelites. Including Bo, there were 12 Mandalorians (with members from both tribes) who went ahead to scout Mandalore.
I feel like that, and Mando making the deal to, essentially, "clean up the west (outer rim)" is a sign the show will return more to the season one formula where it is very western heavy. I think there will still obviously be connecting threads and an overarching story throughout, but I think we are gonna get a lot of bounty hunting in season 4. This last episode was one of my favorite in the entire run so far, it was as "star wars" as it gets.
I mean, Star Wars (at least the original trilogy) has always been a space western, so it makes sense that a spinoff show in the same setting would feel that way too lol

@@MM-vs2et Yeah, there's plenty of time to film a season 4 before that, maybe even Ahsoka season 2 as well. Depends how much set up, Filoni needs for the movie.
DAVE FILONI HAD A CAMEO! He was in a previous one but much more hidden and I didn't notice him, but in this one he's right in front of the camera in full view at the end!!!!
Moff Gideoan suit was enhance with a robotic exoskeleton to enhance his physical strength, which why he was so much stronger and able to overpower Bo and Din
Gideon's suit also had knee rockets, which were clearly visible in the close-up shot during his arrival at the ambush in the last episode, although he didn't use them, as far as I can tell.
When you re-watch this, notice how Din is very precise on his strikes - joints, eye slits for kill shots. Legs and feet to break balance. Mandalorians have more experience fighting Mandalorians than anyone else.
Some one noticed on youtube that Gideon's clones don't have mustaches while the old wrinkled original version that talked to the Shadow Council still has his mustache on him. So it's likely Gideon's clone that died at the end of the episode and that he's still alive somewhere else.
I like that in S1E1, The Mandalorian was introduced in an opening iris transition (saloon door opening), and S3E8, he (and Grogu) is shown in a closing iris transition.
There is something that everybody seems to keep forgetting..... NOT EVERY MANDO WEARS "FULL BESKAR" ! If you Remember from season one our boy started out with regular Durasteel Mando styled armor. His first piece (besides his helmet) was just a shoulder Pauldron. Only after his big payday did he have enough materials to upgrade to a full suit. Most do not get full Beskar, and might have pieces and parts. The imperials don't know the secrets of forging pure Beskar, and usually have Alloys, especially from mass production.
They already wrote season 4, and I think there's going to be a significant time jump. Also, there's a Rey movie coming out set 15 years after the sequels that's about a jedi academy. The consensus is that Grogu will probably be a big part of that movie.
Great visuals and fights, especially the one with the Pretorian Guards and Grogu shielding Din and Bo from the fire was a nice callback to season one :) I hope Gideon survived,it would be cool to see him and Thrawn sharing a scene :)
Also one of the things on why the imperials got folded is i believe a lot of the mandos have full beskar armor but as time went on and beskar mines ran out they started mixing beskar with other less durable metals so everyone could still have beskar armor but it wasnt as strong the older beskar and couldnt defend like it either, at least if remember correctly that was a thing
Man, seeing the mid-air battles with guns and hammers makes me want a Mandalorian video game. One where you could fly and battle and maybe even custom make your own Mandalorian armor!
Moff gideon's armor is Beskar and dark trooper tech which is why he has super strength. The dark troopers are droids. He was planning to make an army with this tech including the force, they would me OP
and now, the spinoff where IG-11 tries to get back his original ways, kinda like a reverse Robocop, mwahaha >:D scene of the final episode: IG-11 walks away, over the next hill, the city on fire in the background, IG-11 dragging Karga's dead body in his right claw, cut to the final shot when IG-11's red eyes turn towards the camera and as the last episode fades into darkness, you just hear an echoey, robotic "yes."
I would have bet my next year's wages on a post-credits scene with Gideon's broken body among the rubble suddenly showing signs of life. I remain unconvinced that he's actually dead.
So because of the deal that Din made with Carson, he and Grogu will become like Batman and Robin. In many other series upcoming every time the Republic gets in a tight spot, Carson will turn on his bat signal, and Din Batman and Robin Grogu will show up.😎 (And maybe Dave filoni too 🤠)
Everyone read way too much into what The Spies meant. It was Bo-Katan's Mando Spies that she recruited around the camp fire to scout the planet and those Mando Spies infiltrated an Imperial Base.
i think the best part of the episode was the aerial fight scene where bo katan is slicing and dicing with the darksaber and the armorer is just like “it’s clobberin time”
You have to hand it to Moff Gideon, he was a great villain. Even though his beskar dark trooper armour enhanced his strength, I suppose it made up for the fact that he's literally an old man facing off against multiple opponents who are in their physical primes. And his moves were all his own, he has the fighting skill enough to keep up with Din Djarin and Bo-Katan at the same time. In that suit, he was absolutely *_kicking the asses_* of both Bo and Din, and would've killed them both on his own had Grogu and Axe Woves not interevened. I love how it took a literal light cruiser crashing into him essentially in order to kill Moff Gideon, as none of our heroes were able to do it, even together. Though, of course, there is always the possibility of Moff Gideon coming back. For starters, he could've definitely survived the explosion. If metal far weaker than beskar alloy survived the inferno, it's always possible that Gideon managed to get away in that air-tight sealed mechanised suit of his. We never saw a body or even a scrap of armour, and I doubt that he would've been completely incinerated given what he was wearing. An alternative theory could be that the Gideon that fought in this episode was simply another one of his clones brought online earlier than the rest, and that the real Moff Gideon is somewhere else. Additionally, the Shadow Council talked about a "Project Necromancer", which is supposed to produce some form of ultimate imperial leadership. It could be used for Palpatine, Snoke, or even Gideon to a lesser extent. It's always possible for Moff Gideon to return, just like Palpatine himself.
Koska Reeves causing one trooper to crash into the one she just disabled, followed by the platform slide, reverse and knee jet action, was a major high point for me. Now I want her to have a spin off. Like a buddy cop story where she is paired with a Watch member.

I figured that since Mando got R5 to help him on Mandalore, restoring IG could solve Nevarro's Needed-Marshall Problem. And See Mando, R5 is good to have around after all (it felt great hearing in the ep Mando call R5 Buddy). Your Astromech Purchase instead of IG Recovery worked out in the long run {we still got IG-11 back in the end as the Protector we all knew he is!!!!!!} And R5-D4, Welcome to Clan Mudhorn!!!! {as well as technically as Mando's 2nd Child!!!}
The makers really outdid themselves did this episode. The music, the fights, the CGI, etc. Everything was great! The flying Mandalorian fight is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in Star Wars!
season 4 is in development, even if not confirmed yet. And Mando and others will most likely appear in the upcoming New Republic vs Imperial Remnants war film that will be all connected to the live-action TV shows like Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Ahsoka and so on.
The Armorer took the sick and wounded Mandalorian survivors to the orbiting fleet, and that's why she wasn't there at the ambush. It was decided between her and Bo-Katan before they headed to the forge (with those who were still able). There were no Mandalorian spies at all; the title "The Spies" referred to Elia Kane and the Imperials in the holo-meeting.
Gideon did say that his armor was next generation Dark Trooper mixed with Beskar. So he took all the mechanical parts of the Dark Trooper suit and incorporated it into his Mandalorian Beskar suit. I don’t think the dark saber gets rebuilt. I think the Mandalorians are going to move past “trinkets” as Gideon called them and learn to live and rule together. As we found out in the last episode Din Djarins group didn’t believe in the dark saber ruling Mandalore. I feel if they don’t make any more seasons of Mandalorian that this is the best ending for the series.
The only 2 issues I had with this finale was that Grogu magically appeared next to Mando and that somehow Bo and Mando never had a conversation after "killing" Gideon as well as spending the past 6 episodes together.
Something I never thought to mention till this episode. My great grandfather last name was changed from Din to Dean when he came to America from Pakistan.
22:11 Gideon was only able to crush the Darksaber because he was wearing a suit of mechanized Beskar armor 😥😓. Maybe the Darksaber can be remade 🤔🤯🤩! And instead of being for the ruler of Mandalore, maybe it could be for Mandalore's champion and chief protector 🤔😉!
The MSE-6-series repair droid, sometimes referred to as the mouse droid, was a small, box-shaped, wheeled general purpose MSE-series droid often used for. delivery and maintenance purposes. But not security, well unless they were reprogrammed. Which all we saw them do is bump into a intruder.
I like to imagine that the one mouse droid that fell into the abyss is the only survivor of the Imperial garrison after the capital ship crashed into the base, and now it's just cruising around int the mines trying to find its way out.
The sounds Rana makes when the Mandos leave the cruiser reminds me of liara from galaxy quest when there in the limo with Tim Allen and her translator is broken.
The Spie's is a biblical term. Moses sent one each from the twelve tribes of scouts ahead to the promise land to make sure it is safe to go. The Scout team are known as "The Spies" That is what the 3-7 episode was.
I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video: "I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible. The episode is and the season as a whole is essentially this re-told!"
I saw a thing "The Spies" is a biblical reference to the 12 spies, who were chieftains sent out ahead to scout the promised land before Abraham's people moved to the area, and I think 12 volunteers counting the named peeps is what we got last episode.
As a Catholic, I love the themes of baptism and how in the church babies can be baptized based off of the faith of the parents. Was pretty neat how they incorporated all of that to Mandalorians.
If you look closely you can see that the mandalorians are getting around the beskar armour by shooting between the plates, one guy even got shot in the neck
Omni1 said that a theory he heard from a follower, is that Spies was a Biblical reference. There were 12 Israelite sent into the Promised Land to check it out ahead of them entering as a group.
It probably wrapped up so they can concentrate on Ashoka for awhile but I don't think they'll shelve Mando for awhile b/c it is the bread and butter Star Wars series for Disney+. The show also sets up a lot of the "gap" stories between Return of the Jedi and Force Awakens. I just want Mando/Grogu to be somehow involved in post Rise of the Skywalker. Jarin might be old but Grogu will be "young" in his lifespan....also need to address the fate/status of Mandalore.
By the time we see a season 4, we are going to get Ashoka. I feel its likely that they wanted to wrap up the Gideon storyline while last episode hinting at thrawn. And season 4 will be more likely tied into newer events from Ashoka.
It warmed my heart when Din called R5, Buddy.

Your Astromech Purchase instead of IG Recovery worked out in the long run {we still got IG-11 back in the end as the Protector we all knew he is!!!!!!} And R5-D4, Welcome to Clan Mudhorn!!!! {as well as technically as Mando's 2nd Child!!!}
The makers really outdid themselves did this episode. The music, the fights, the CGI, etc. Everything was great! The flying Mandalorian fight is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in Star Wars!
This was an ending of the Din Grogu foundling story.
Now we get the Din Grogu Mandalorian Apprentice story
On baby din yoda hits better
season 4 is in development, even if not confirmed yet.
And to give Axe Woves even more credit:
It seems like he has successfully dealt with all the TIEs on his own before he went down.
Those air combat shots were extremely anime. Down to the speed lines created by the blaster fire lol
Din Grogu is THE Mandalorian as the Title of the show
It's Besgar alloy, which means it's forged with other metals to stretch it, so it's weaker than regular besgar
I’m glad you guys enjoyed the feel good ending and didn’t complain because you didn’t like the payoff. Real stuff
You have a typo in the title. It's 3x8 but the title says 3x7. 😊
Another great reaction, Normies!
I'm with Rana...the droids make Star Wars for me, too! (Greetings from NorCal to Rana, btw!)
The only 2 issues I had with this finale was that Grogu magically appeared next to Mando and that somehow Bo and Mando never had a conversation after "killing" Gideon as well as spending the past 6 episodes together.
It was magic ... because he used the force to find him ...
@@claymccarthy6198 Mando was escorted away by 3 mandolarion stormtroopers, and grogu was behind the metal wall with Bo Katan.
Music when Grogu shields bo and din gave vibes of "we are GROOT" moment.... 😢💕
A spy in an older context is a scout - The party that came down with Bo-Katan wer scouts or trying to spy the Great Fordge.
Season 4 is already written. Jon Favreau confirmed it. He and Filoni wrote it during post production on season 3.
I cried so hard of happines when Grogu became officially Djarins son.
The Spie's is a biblical term. Moses sent one each from the twelve tribes of scouts ahead to the promise land to make sure it is safe to go. The Scout team are known as "The Spies" That is what the 3-7 episode was.
A note about the "spies" title from last episode. I'm pretty sure the 'spies' were the imperials that were kitted out in beskar gear
“F*ck being a Jedi. I want to be a MANDALORIAN”
I want to be a MANDALORIAN JEDI
“Where is Grogurito?!”😢😢😢😂😂❤❤❤😅😅😅😮😂
The shot with Din (or I guess Djarin is his name if Din is a family name?), Bo and Grogu in the fire 🔥😍🥹
The spies could be the shadow council or when the mandos went home to "spy" on the area to make sure it was safe to return
I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video:
"I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible.
John Favreau said he has season 4 already written.
As a Catholic, I love the themes of baptism and how in the church babies can be baptized based off of the faith of the parents. Was pretty neat how they incorporated all of that to Mandalorians.
OMG I've watched you guys for about a year and had no idea you were from Indiana too!! You guys are one of my favorite react channels! So awesome😁🤘
gideon clearly said in the episode before that all the dark troopers on the base are clones of himself!
18:50: Bo every time she rescued the DIN-sel in distress
If you look closely you can see that the mandalorians are getting around the beskar armour by shooting between the plates, one guy even got shot in the neck
17:20 That has to be the reason why he kidnapped grogu?
I also wouldn't put it past then to have Din and Grogu show up in Ashoka
You mean the Dins ^^
Rick Famuyiwa knocked these final two episodes out of the park. He was consistently one of the better directors across every season IMO.
RIP the Dark Saber. Paz Vizsla finally wields the Dark Saber as his legendary ancestor did... 🤧🖤
