Why are people so unthankful? It really gets old. B&W or colorized it’s a good movie and I’m grateful. Thank you!
They think they sound intellectual.
Quite, quite wonderful. Three charismatic actors: Bari, Bey, and O'Donnell. We'll never see their like again. Beautiful score. In its way a supreme example of cinematic art.
A quality production! Never seen it before. Very much worth the watch for classic movie buffs. Thanks for sharing it!
The special effects are very advanced for the times. Exceptional camera work. A forgotten gem.
Two years of grieving husband's death is not a very long time at all.
We can't erase the past that quickly, that is it
If that past was wonderful.
Very, very true. Grief can last a lifetime.
@E-Kat , *if* that past was wonderful.
@@SuziQ. you're so sweet , thank you. 🤗
Glumci su nekada unosili emocije u svaku riječ i pokret... odličan film zanimljivog scenarija 👍. Pozdrav iz Croatia 🇭🇷 svim gledateljima ovog kanala ! 👋😘
Same to you on Mother’s Day from Grand Ledge, Michigan!!💐 🇺🇸
CROACIA...ME GUSTARÍA CONOCER SOY HIJA DE YUGOSLAVO...Y HE VISTO REPORTAJES DE ALLÍ Y LA ENCONTRÉ MUY BELLA CIUDAD..❤
Why don,t modern american actresses have the same enunciation as these old films portraying women, its all so tawdry today,
Nice to hear the vocal clarity as well. Now the vocal fry is so annoying. To me, it’s an affectation.
The rishon is that the public has become cheap and vulgar and all this bad taste and ignorance is considered fashionable!❤
Because our IQ"s have been steadily dropping from things like fluoride in our drinking water supplies 😂 banned in lakes rivers etc
What a great film, Oscar worthy even, but completely unknown. I never even heard of it, n it isn't even in Halliwell's Film Guide.
The imagery and shots in this movie are so beautiful. I used clips of it in my latest music video "Sonatina Nirvana"
This could’ve readily been a Crawford pic. I can see Joan Crawford playing that lead part. The actress actually sounds and acts like Crawford. Same tone and diction. Joan had great diction and elocution. That interior stage set of the house is just gorgeous. Love the lighting and atmosphere jn this pic. There is something about movies from this period that is so mesmerising. I think it’s because of the fact that they aren’t naturalistic at all. They transport you to another time and place, even if they are over the top in parts or camp or whatever. They really mastered the art of cinema during the 1940s.
Excellent film and made the year I was born.😊
One of my favorite films. Thank you.
A great historical film worth watching. Thank you ❤
Hola, gracias por traer estas clasicas peliculas.👍
Thanks so much. You just can’t beat the classics.
I've never seen a colourized version of this before! Really appreciate it- fabulous cast, Virginia Gregg one of my radio favourites

Buena Película..exelentes actores..bellísima época..❤
Love it, love it! Many thanks for making these wonderful old classics available, and for FREE!
i remember Turhan Bey and the young actress from the movies on television. i always liked both of them. i have to look up her name - Cathy O’Donnell. she usually played innocent young women. i imagine she could handle more than that, but Hollywood! you know.
i love these ‘40’s films. this one is really fun and scary and good! 🎬🌷🌱
Good movie, but omg, who did Janet’s makeup?
Excellent!!!😊😊😊
Wow, the Westmores appear in many makeup designs.❤
Buenísima película.Gracias por subirla.👏👏👍🤗
Mulțumesc pt acest film super clasic îl recomand cu drag ❤
Great film and love the colour concept - but the colour constantly flickers and doesn’t track well in the process making it irritating to view after a while... hopefully technology isn’t too far away where this is fixed and the colour remains fixed and constant throughout the scenes.
good movie! thanks!
Muy linda Película, gracias por subirla.
Had a crush on Turhan Bey.!!😮 still do, that cad Elexis!!!!
I actually like the way this was colorized. Very moody colors went well thematically with the imagery.
Very good classic movie. Dearly love watching these treasures!❤❤
Thanks for this
Monster of Black Lagoon 1954 ( Carlson) / Ben Hur, 1959 (Cathy) /Strangers on a train 1951 & Witness for the prosecution 1957 (Varden)_ Frederic Chopin : Prelude number 4 in E minor/The raven...1845 ( POE)...
Preciosa luz y fotografía!!
Buena película, gracias por publicar.
Beatiful film
Excelente película, me encantó. Gracias 🤗
Seen this before and what quality is here
Thanks
Good movie 😊
Fascinante pelicula!!!!
The settins are spectac.!!!
The music is so beautiful. What is the name of that repeated song?
Chopin’s Prelude in E minor, Op. 28, No. 4.
Nightmare Alley with Robert Taylor is another great classic with a similar theme. Also, The Night Has a Thousand eyes, with Edward G. Robinson, for a slightly different take on the subject.
Its title is The Amazing Mr X!
13:26 Richard Carlson always reminds me of Phil Hartman.
Español 🙏🏽 gracias
thee amazin mister x
Filme feito no ano que eu nasci.
Colorized. UNWATCHABLE.
Póngalo en ESPAÑOL 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
👍👍👍👍
cool
So what is the name? The name listed is different than in the screenplay.
Увидела на обложке Линн Бари.. посмотрю..
Colorizing this movie makes it look worse not better. The original B&W was way more dramatic and actually very ground breaking.
Tetszett....mesebeli ...volt....a jò gyözött.....
A GOOD MOVIE, GHOSTS ARE TRULY REAL BUT IN THIS MOVIE THINGS ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
❤
😊
Who's the Beauty Chris
Lynn Bari... she of the beautiful voice. Watch "China Girl" (Gene Tierney, George Montgomery) to see her play-equally well-a totally different character.)

Hilarious !
Już widziałam, nic nowego😮
JOAN CRAWFORD SHOULD HAVE PLAYED CHRISTINE.
I have NEVER liked colorized, and I never will!!!
these old movies just kill me. Nobody in real life ever talked so poetically like these people.
They sure did speak like that but in the last few decades standards of speech and literacy have collapsed.
@@PrivatePrivate-so4if,
No, they didn’t. Movies have always been fantasies. I just noticed a segue from flowery, romantic (and, frankly, ridiculously over the top) speech to “normal” speech during the beach scene at around the 9:34 to 12:00 minute marks, where the mystery man speaks like someone in a play, but Christine’s male friend speaks like a normal person.
Edit for time stamps.
Addit:
Martin: "… I just happen to have an engagement ring on me.”
That entire conversation was “normal speech,” except for his odd proposal.) 15:00
