That is another super course ! i bought myself ART NOUVEAU LENORMAND a week ago and what i like about these cards is that they give you all interactions between cards for each one of them ( it is a good help for beginners). I also found Rana George Lenormand - very beautiful as artwork! thanks for sharing TO!

I bought a beginner deck for lenormand and tarot. Before my decks arrived I was more drawn to the rules of lenormand since the meaning of the cards are placed at a higher importance than your own intuition but I find it a bit more difficult than tarot. I feel Tarot is more visual with a flow to the story and a mix of the meaning of the cards, the details of the pictures in the cards that you see and what you feel. Lenormand definitely has a different feel and sometimes I have a hard time deciphering the answers because of the multiple meanings for example I asked if I was going to be in a relationship by the end of this year. For tarot I pulled the king of pentacles, star and 7 of swords. My crush happens to be an earth sign Virgo who is detached so the cards easily made sense to me that I’m hoping and dreaming to be with my crush. For lenormand I pulled in the order of the snake anchor and star. I know snake can mean a rival but it can also mean someone who is attractive or deceptive. Anchor was the middle card which means stability and the star is about hopes and dreams. Not sure if it was giving me the same message as my tarot cards but from a different perspective and I’m still not sure if I will have a boyfriend the cards keep showing about hope and dreams perhaps I will still be in this energy by the end of the year will see.

Great video !!! Could you share what cards indicate NORTH, SOUTH, EAST& WEST ? Please nobody talks about it.
You can determine that yourself.
There are schools of thought that attribute an element to a direction (like fire is north) and so find which card is that element+direction.
Or use the image itself. The Star-card could be north cuz Ursa Minor.
Be creative. Claim the process. Make it your own.

I've been working with Lenormand for a few months now and this is the first time I've seen a tutorial where someone mentioned the corresponding planets for each card-- that was amazing!! Would anyone want to suggest an affordable beginner deck? (I live in Canada and my options are limited. Everything is around $25 but I'm recently unemployed and would like to look for a $15 buck deck.)
You can try Book Depository-they are in the UK but ship free to everywhere. They have Lenormand decks starting around 7 USD and up. The French Cartomancy deck is one of the cheaper ones and is pretty straightforward for beginners.

Heya! Late reply but if you dont feel like putting zodiac signs or astrology in your readings then that's perfectly ok. You can rely on your own intuition and the imagery in the cards to read. Hope that helps

Fantastic...maybe this gives me an insight on those lenormand cards I have...they're totally different. They're called Le grand jeu de mme lenormand.they depict Greek mythology, flowers, numbers, stars and all kinds of things... I have a book for them..but it seems like that book just isn't enough

Yes, all of them do. Mind the Whip however, for in some decks, it is a feather-duster or a small broom.

What if the card comes up side down does it have a different meaning?
no
Traditionally lenormand is not used reversed.
However, if reversing cards feels natural to you, determine what that would mean to you.
For example, Cloud reversed could mean that they are clearing, or maybe instead thickening.
Clover reversed could mean a happy coincidence or a good opportunity being ignored.
I use reversed cards too.
