You should buy yourself a looper. You would have your hands free, time and opportunities to tweak the looped tracks. I use a boss rc 202, it’s a great tool.

Sounds like you're a modular fan: entry setup: Korg volca bass, a drum machine, maybe a pocket operator and you are there!
