Just ordered one from costco the 28.9cu ft with no water disp outside the door. I was hesitant because of all the complaints I read online by numerous owners, though as I understand it's the same fridge as the GE profile and that one is widely recommended.
I took a chance on the cafe today since it just looks so nice and is essentially the same as the profile I was going to buy.
We've been screwed over by a samsung 33cu ft fridge before so we are more cautious than we previously were. It failed after 4 years, repair guy said buy something else. The funny part is that consumer reports recommended the samsung fridge we bought and I thought we were safe. I guessed wrong that time, but right on the GE gas range.
It seems like appliances these days are like playing at the casino, you never know what's going to happen, but the house (corporations) always come out the winner.

The fridge came in a month or so ago. It's a great fridge, but it is leaking under the right crisper tray, which we found is common. They ordered a part for us and will fix it under warranty. Taking forever for the part to come in, it's been close to a month.
The funny part us we also just got a speedqueen front loader washer ff7 model, since we're talking about major appliances. Well it's leaking too at the dispenser and the bottom of the door. It no longer leaks at the door, but it leaks at the dispenser half the time. They said they will replace it, but again waiting like a month or more for it.
I guess the industry really operates this way across the board. America don't give a crp anymore like they did in the 50s do they.

Owned this refrigerator for about 18 months now, yesterday fan started making noise and freezer failed, stopped cooling. Owners manual no help, out of 12 month warranty, have to stick temperature gauge inside just to see current temp, it only tells you what you have the temperature set to, not what the current temperature is. Never owned a refrigerator that failed this soon! Usually we can get 10+ years out of one without any issues. Very disappointed with this Cafe / GE refrigerator model.

Yea gotta get the 5 year warranty these days. Appliances have too many bells and whistles, something is bound to fail.

I work at the GE plant in Louisville I would definitely buy the warranty. They have been sending sending out scrap units to save $. Dents on the side panel, dents on the liner etc. Compressors are always messed up some sketchy shit stay away from GE all together.

How much clearance or space do you need by a wall to open the doors?

Surprised to see you promoting a modern appliance with all the bells and whistles like this one.
