You guys are such wonderful animal advocates! As much as the rest of your posts are really enjoyable to see where you are going and eating, I just love how you guys make a point to do an excursion like this. Cheers to time well spent on your last day in Ella!
All those dogs look so beautiful - what an amazing and eye-opening experience. We see so many dogs roaming the streets in our travels and it's so sad. It makes us happy to see when they can be well cared for and find better homes.
When you eat string hoppers ,i think you have to mixed sambal, dal curry, potato curry and everything together with string hoppers and eat well and then you can taste it better...
Thank you for visiting Ella and showing the dogs. The dogs are wild in sri lanka. As in anything wild, some animals cannot be successful. At least someone makes their life bearable
WHAT am I watching? Is this Lily Aldrin? 😳 BTW thank you very very much for featuring my mother. I love my motherland, and I am getting even greedy for her day by day, even though we are having a bit difficult time here in term of finance. 🥺🙏
Your videos are great. If you have time visit Reveston also.it's near to kandy. That area is less crowded and not popular among tourist. But very beautyful.
There's a yellow liquid gravy curry that gets put on top of the string hoppers before eating that makes the string hoppers much more delicious. The person who is eating puts this on the string hoppers from a different dish. This yellow liquid makes the string hoppers more moist to eat. I don't think you had this with your meal. You have to eat the dahl curry, the coconut sambol, and possibly a meat curry with the string hoppers all at once for this dish to be very delicious. Next time. You don't have to tip anybody in Sri Lanka. It's not required that you give any money for any hospitality that you receive there; just walk away. You have to have milk tea with your food in that area. The most beautiful dogs in the world are in Sri Lanka!! Excellent video by the way!
Nice videos....! Thanks for promoting sri lanka and one thing to aware..., we do not eat coconut somhol alone we mix it with rice, string hoppers like you had with daal...that's the way of sri.lankan style..!
Don't miss to visit (Nuwara Eliya).... You have lot more places their to visit.... More beautiful palaces are their..... Lot more adventures also their in Nuwara Eliya. 🇱🇰
You can mix and match when you eat string hoppers, usually both dhal and coconut sambol are used together when eating string hoppers. It's really tasty that way. You can combine other curries like fish or chicken as well with those :)
Hey, guys thank you for the videos, my wife and I are planning to travel to Sri Lanka in September, love all the information you have provided, good luck, PS I wish you guys had posted prices, like on food, and places you stayed and visit in the videos. I think it would've been very helpful for someone that's planning to go there, maybe you have a reason for not providing the prices. OK thank you.

The coconut sambol is best with some rotti..

The string hoppers may be a descendant of the Portuguese coming to Sri Lanka. But I am not sure about this.
Interesting!
