Hello Can someone tell me why it shows firmware update when I put my other non origin 120w USB a to c cable in the soldering iron, is the a function that it goes to solder mode instead, with my origin cable it works normal,but I would like to have other options on cables beside the original. 🤔
While explaining the heat up time, I showed a diagram with the wattages per some of the battery voltages. I'm using a 4s so somewhere in the 30watts but you can use a 6s batt to get 65watts.

Can this iron be powered through the type c?
I haven't tried it but it does have pd3 support.
I’m sure it can power through USB type c
What wattage? Having to use such high temperature suggests insufficient power.

@@RCEscape Oops. I wasn't watching close enough. Be good to check out that 65W setup. I try to avoid the slow heat up, ruining components.

I just tried it out with a 6s batt and it is smoking hot! It does good though with just a 4s and you can do most everything with a 4s.
