- Today we visit the biggest bike rally in CA "Born Free". this show is a custom bike builders paradise! We were able to connect with some leading bike builders, and even enjoy the half pipe they had there to skate. We got to spend time with "quest called Tribe and the legendary real deal Jessi Combs.

after laving born free saturday evening i headed back to san diego, only to relize i was gunna melt riding home sunday to the san joaquin valley. decided to leave san diego at 10pm that night and rode through the night. made it home to lathrop ca, at 610 am, t-shirt the whole way. 90degrees at night ugh, great trip though and awesome show ill be back next year for sure

I was there at Born Free on Saturday. It was fun, but I had too buy a cuzzi for my beer can cause A) PBR isn't that good when its cold can't get it down when its warm. B} I couldn't drink it fast and it was hot outside! Great time though, great video, and Jesse Combs! I'm in love with that girl!

One thing that stroke me as odd is your comment and the comment of that lady called Jessi at 9:30 of getting blisters from riding on the desert. This should NOT be happening if proper riding gear is being worn. A quick Google check shows this lady's choice of motorcycle gear is very poor, so it's no surprise she'd got heat-burn scars from riding through the desert. But, like I say, this should not be happening to any rider and it's important to point out that riding through the desert (at any time) is perfectly fine so long as you're wearing proper riding attire. Armored kevlar pants, armored Cordura pants or even armored leather pants with ventilation zippers would have easily saved this lady's legs from heat-burn scars.
I've ridden one of my V-Twin tourers through desert many times with 120 degrees Fahrenheit and with a female passenger (who happens to be my partner) and none of us ever had any hint of blisters, reddening or had the unfortunate event of getting our legs scarred. Why? Because we were wearing proper motorcycle gear that ensured that the hellish heat emanating from everywhere didn't harm us. I've got to say that the pavement was the worst part as it was pitch black and it felt like the air over it was frying (air getting through ventilated panels in the gear). Yet we were completely unharmed.
I've ridden numerous times in these harsh conditions and there is no reason to get blisters from riding through the desert. There is, of course, plenty of reasons to get blisters and plenty of all kinds of skin injuries from not wearing proper motorcycle attire. The desert is not forgiving and neither is the asphalt, so gear up accordingly.
Last but not least, at those temperatures, one should actually cover every single bodypart in motorcycle gear and only allow a certain amount of ventilation through ventilation zippers while wearing a cooling vest (and keeping hydrated). That's the best way to ride through the desert, yet I see many people thinking that tank tops and jeans is how to ride for desert cruising or touring.
Just wanted to say that for those considering riding through the desert and being baffled as to why they could potentially get blisters and lifelong scarring. Not a chance of this happening so long as proper motorcycle gear is being worn.

Yes its an auto focus, it usually fixes itself fairly fast. Sorry, its just meant to be a real look at my days and trips, its not a Hollywood produced show where you can't tell whats real or fake. I find genuine content to be better then some high level polished show.
