Chicken and Pork Afritada

Chicken and Pork Afritada is a common Filipino dish prepared daily or on special occasions. It is best paired with steamed rice or toasted baguette slices.
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons (45 grams) salted butter
6 cloves garlic, chopped
2 red onions, sliced
500 grams pork belly, cut into pieces
750 grams chicken, cut into pieces
1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
750 grams Filipino style tomato sauce
150 grams tomato paste
1 piece chicken bouillon cube
1 teaspoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
300 grams carrots, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
300 grams medium potatoes, cut into halves
150 grams bell pepper, cut into pieces
