    I just feel like all I do is clean my kitchen all day long. I'm stuck in the kitchen making breakfast, clean, make lunch, clean, then cook dinner and clean again. 😥 So many hours just in the kitchen alone.

      I'm so sorry you feel that way, I have definitely been there! Here are a couple of suggestions you could try: (of course I don't know your specific situation so these might work, or they might not).
      One thing you could try is using paper plates a bowls so you don't have to wash so many dishes. Another thing is getting your family to help you out more, this video might help with that (depending on how old your kids are) ua-cam.com/video/dUmpHtwEDos/v-deo.html, and another thing that might help is choosing super simple meals and planning them out so that you have less prep dishes (look into one-pot dishes).
      I hope some of that might help!

    I don’t have the option to do laundry daily. I live in a NYC apartment on the third floor with no elevator. There’s no way I’m going to the laundromat daily. The other suggestions are definitely doable! I am a singe mom of a 3 year old and a registered nurse. I just want more time for me and my son an all I feel like I’m doing is working in and out the home. I’m tired.

    I have a newborn and I don't have any help. My spouse since I stay at home expects the house to always be clean since I'm at home with him. I'm breastfeeding on demand I feel like a human cow. I do all the cooking and cleaning, which includes making him breakfast, packing a lunch for him, and dinner. He doesn't know how to help with the baby and ends up handing him to me if he gets fussy. I feel so burnt out at the end of every sleepless night. I hope this helps, or I may lose my mind. Thank you.

    I hear all the time about doing the laundry every day but than I would have to either not use full load, which seems waistfull or would have to put different colours together. When I wash once a week I do blacks and dark blues, light blues and greys, reds and yellows and a fourth load of mostly whites.
    How do you solve this while washing every day?

    • @kassyeichele
      @kassyeichele  Рік тому +2

      I would just spread out your colors through the week. One day do your blacks and dark blues, one day do light blues and grays, one day do reds and yellows and one day do your whites.
      Then you would still have one day to do your towels and sheets.

      So sorry that you are experiencing that! I currently have 1 toddler and THAT is a lot, 2 is next level.
      Be kind to yourself in this season and know that it will pass faster than you think. Sometimes we just have to adjust our idea of "clean" during this time.
      Your kids won't care if the house isn't perfect, but they will care if you take the time to have fun with them... so try to prioritize that more than having a perfect house.

    • @kassyeichele
      @kassyeichele  3 роки тому +3

      I totally get it, I used to have the same problem! If your kids are old enough you can always make it their job to clean their own plate/bowl/utensils after each meal. That cuts down on the amount of time that you have to spend after each meal and makes it seem easier for you to finish up the rest of the dishes instead of letting them sit😀

    I could try doing laundry every day, but I personally like to get it all done at once. That's about 4 loads (or 5 with sheets or coats/outerwear) for our family of 5 Then my hubby & I fold it in the evening while we watch a movie/TV. That way I don't have to think about laundry again for another week or try to fit it in a busy day. Having fewer clothes means it's not too overwhelming too.

    • @kassyeichele

    • @kassyeichele
      @kassyeichele  2 роки тому +1

      That is true that it would make it more challenging. You may want to set up a system where you can have a hanging rack that is always available to use and stores easily if this is the case for you. Even if you are hanging it inside, it should dry within 24 hours when you would need to hang the next load :)

    In a house where there are kids, it does not seem peaceful and calm to me when I don't see toys laying around. I love it when I see lots of activity going on rather than kids motionless sitting in front of the TV. The kitchen and bathrooms are a different story. No need to have a mess in there. My grandkids were home schooled and they had continuous projects going on till the day they left for University. They actually were not "schooled" they explored for 18 years and that was a continuous project. Now they are in super situations and still never stop researching and learning.
    A house has to be a home for everyone living in it and everyone has to feel comfortable.

    • @kassyeichele
      @kassyeichele  5 місяців тому +2

      Yes, lots of activities when you have kids at home is a MUST! We love having lots of fun activities to do. I just prefer to have an amount of toys that the kids will actually use instead of so many toys that they just pull everything off of the shelves and move onto the next thing without actually playing with it. Kids view toys as their work, so if there are too many toys it actually stresses kids out and they feel like they have to play with all the things (which is why children often will walk into a room and pull all of the toys off the shelves then leave the room... they think they accomplished their work because they touched every toy.) When their are less toys the kids can more fully enjoy each toy and will play longer with each toy (and love each toy more.)
      I completely agree, it's super sad when kids are just zoned out in front of a TV instead of playing inside, exploring outside, or learning! Thanks for sharing!

    WOW. Just hearing you say "full time job from home, with two little kids, AND a clean house" POOF 🤯 MIND BLOWN. Like: HOW?? I am a single mom and can not even do one of those to the point I look at myself like "well done!". It must have everything to do with your mental state. Only now that my daughter is grown am I getting to the point that my house is "ok" most of the time. I truly admire people like you. I mean I really sucked at having oversight and keeping on top of things. I am so quickly overwhelmed. I am sticking around to see if something clicks for me here because I dream of being able to run my own business AND have a clean house now that my daughter is on the verge of moving out and starting her own life! By the way SHE does have oversight and is able to clean a space in absolutely no time. I felt at some point like some people just naturally have that, others get stuck on details and it takes HOURS to do the same thing that takes someone else does in 15 minutes and when they finnish it looks 10x better to boot! lol.

It sounds like you are on the right track for getting things under control, you've got this! Being able to see what you would like to do differently and where you want to be in the future is a great place to start!
      What kind of business do you want to start? I love having my own business. For me it is actually what I do for fun as well as work because I enjoy it so much. I hope your business goes well.

    I don't have kids yet so this may change when I do, but I actually don't mind doing laundry. Usually we end up having one week with a load everyday or occasionally as much as three then a week off with no laundry. We also always made sure laundry got folded and put away when I was a kid by putting clean clothes on the couch which we couldn't use until it was all gone. Maybe not the system for everyone but we never had piles of clean clothes built up in our rooms and it was always but away the same day

    Ok basically all of these tips are what I have only begun to figure out now that I am in my mid 40's haha.. One thing I have always done is to let my daughter tidy her own room from when she was very young. My own mom would ask me to clean my room all the time too. But I knew if I just left it messy long enough, SHE would do it. I am definitely not blaming my wonderful mom for how I turned out at all, yeah well only my good aspects ❤! But I am sure it has helped my daughter that she had to take responsibility for her own room from young. Thanks for the tips! My goal is to be on top of my life before this year is over.

      I think she has a HUGE habitual SMILE, and is not used to trying to hold it back to sound professional. Don't hold it in!, the rest of us are just moms . . . No need to hold back!

      How responsible of you to learn this at the tender age of 14. Well done you! That amaizing your parents must be very proud.😊

    I do all that and my house is just manageable and not always clean. It turns out when you have more children than hands (I have 3) and they get older and you supervise them less, messes are much harder to keep under control. So I dont feel bad when Im sick or something happens that spoils my routine.

      More kids definitely complicates things, doesn't it! Yes, never feel bad when you need to let the routine go for a while!
