The car is looking fantastic and very pleased to hear that one of your channel viewers is the new owner! As a buyer, you couldn't wish for a better set of history and checks than you give us! Good for Andy and very pleased for you! M
A great result after the previous issue but at least the new owner has a car that is totally sorted. A great find by him for sourcing those door strips. On to your next car in the series, can’t wait.
Great to meet you Jon, it's a pleasure to be able to deliver the car to it's forever home. I'll drop you some pics of the handover. Looking forward to possibly working with you in the future. Fizz.
The waste seals are readily available on EBay, but very expensive. Doesn’t take much research to find them. The very rear ones are harder to find, however you can cut down one of the door ones to make fit. Easy job.
I agree with the very first comment - why not get two additional front weather strips and trim them down to fit the rear windows ? It'd probably be worth comparing them on a bench prior to ordering, just in case they're not compatible.
I have mentioned this to the new owner and have included two of the better old strips with the car so that if he wishes he can have a go at this trick 👍
I just love these cars.. I'm on my 2nd one.. it's been an absolute treasure, as was the first.. totally reliable, my current 2.2 diesel is truly a comfortable long-distance cruiser, 50mpg on M Ways.. great overtaking acceleration and a cream leather luxury interior..The paintwork, metallic green with minute gold flecks that light up in the sun and green tinted windows.. it looks an absolute star... My neighbour bought a £40k+ Mercedes estate and it has a pretty basic feel to the interior.. it depreciates a couple of hundred pounds a week.. I recently had new sills fitted at close to a thousand pounds, other than that, no expense other than service items and a new clutch back in 2020, recently having moved to a very rural area I'm concerned that it might take a hammering from the farm tracks.. I hope I can hang on to it.. I see nothing out there that I would feel so comfortable with... They should have continued making them.
Good to hear that you have found a buyer & also that they are a subscriber too. I hope that they enjoy the car & it serves them well. I'm sure they will after all the work you have done. All the best & look forward to the next project 👍🏻
Anytime a viewer buys a vehicle its way better because they know everything done and what they are getting. Yea that doesn't mean issues don't happen but a person is in way better standing on not having issues , than buying from so many shady sellers.
Couldn't see due to no angle on the drivers side front, but did you fix that gap on the headlamp i mentioned in the last video. My OCD is kicking off wondering if it got done lol!
The Mini project has taken a bit of a backseat lately but it will be continued with soon! I have recently done an update video on the Mini over on my second channel- Johnnygetscash2, if you want more info!

Jag looks great and in the best colour too.

There is nothing more cheerful than the german shepherd playing in front of you while filming!!💕💕💯💯
Great job mate!👏👏
Yeh he’s awesome isn’t he 😍 Thanks for watching

Superb job, top service provided for the new owner.
Happy ending for the story - good job!
Glad it's found a new home, nice work as always👋

The Jag came up a treat, As an ex vehicle mechanic i love content like this so Subbed and liked mate 👌
Great news. Plus congrats to Andy, that is the heck of a lot of car 👍👏👏👏
Fantastic Johnny, really happy for you. Stunning car.
Excellent car, well done!
Great end to this series. Roll on the next!
A big cat and a dog.
Great video Johnny.🙏🇹🇭
Luv that car, luv that dog too. I will take one of each please. LOL 👍👍👍👍👍
A jaguar video, with added fluffy doggy content, well that's just a win/win in my book 👍🏼
Couldn't see due to no angle on the drivers side front, but did you fix that gap on the headlamp i mentioned in the last video. My OCD is kicking off wondering if it got done lol!
Jag looks like new, shame rear window ones aren’t available.
Cool looking Mondeo ❤
Yet another who ain't got a clue what your on about.
Goodbye Georgeous!
Can't you shorten the old seals you took off, keeping the best half off them to replace the back seals
Just found your UA-cam podcast and currently watching from the start. What happened with the Classic Mini Project. It stopped at episode 6 ?
The Mini project has taken a bit of a backseat lately but it will be continued with soon! I have recently done an update video on the Mini over on my second channel- Johnnygetscash2, if you want more info!
Ok thank you. Currently viewing the Daihatsu Fourtrak Restoration from start
£250 for a set of weather strips ...maybe I'm not used to Jags but that seems like a lot for what you're getting. Are they the only supplier?
I thought aluminium didn't rust? Could you explain please
It doesn’t rust, but it does corrode and in extreme cases like on these strips it will eventually disintegrate to nothing!
Sorry, but do alu rust?
Aluminium corrodes (and as in this case ultimately disintegrates)
