Uhmm, as an ap shaco main who's played for years with pink's playstyle, I think he's not that revolutionary to the game as bauss. It's complex, obviously, but I find his style less complicated. HOWEVER, he's indeed really creative and has brought a lot of evolution to the champion. I think other players such as shacomidlane have a more conservative and consistent playstyle, and pw is a lot riskier, but that's what has made him such a beast.
When you only play comp and don't see enough diversity of champs/playstyles in high elo then the game is pretty much just stale. This really challenged Tyler and he got outplayed by a old Dota mechanic.
Exactly. What a stupid title, Tyler actually countered Shaco very well. He clearly won top lane, and later bottom too. They won the game for reason. Maybe Shaco was annoying but ineffective and he couldn't stop Illaoi. Being cheeky won't win a game.
@@ry0usama511 i think overall when you include the pressure which got their team baron, 2 dragons and top/bottom tower and the 4 kills bot he probably did more than shaco did overall, tyler may have only played good but he hella did more for his team than shaco. This isn't because tyler played better than shaco, it's because tyler played a top laner, and a top lane champ is going to be better at doing top lane things than an off meta one trick. Pinkward doesn't just have to beat tyler, he has to beat the friction you get from playing a champ not the way it was design against someone playing a champ exactly the way it was designed.

10:00 funny thing with shaco dagger you cannot flash it and if you flash over it it will track behind you and get the backstab extra damage. Which is why you see the crit icon from the shaco e damage.

I once fought an Udyr. He wiped his behind with our whole team, and I couldn't even be mad. You know how he did it? He ran in circles like a madman, and dodged every single skillshot we had, then ran us down one by one. That was skill. I dream that I could play Udyr like that. On the other hand, if it were lets say an Illaoi, who missed all her abilities, ate all of ours, got cc'd under tower and then walked away with half health and three kills, that is a case of crutch champ. But I'm being unfair, Illaoi is balanced by the fact you have to look at her disgusting face when playing her.

The reason you go Conqueror over grasp is because it outscales grasp in this matchup (and in most matchups actually), grasp is an early game rune on non-tank champs and honestly Illaoi's late game gets fucked if she doesn't go conqueror. The 5v5s are so much easier if you get to fully stack your conqueror over having the little hp bonus from grasp and the little empowered autos. Grasp is NOT a scaling rune against shaco.
You don't go to Conqueror to outscale. You go to Conqueror if you need more damage to win against the enemy top lane. If you don't need the extra damage, which most of the time you don't, Grasp will forever be the best rune on Illaoi. Constantly getting graps stacks over the course of the game makes you more tankier, which is what illaoi needs, and synergies with her kit. The healing, health gain, and extra damage are perfect for her

Conqueror is an amazing teamfight rune (way way way better than Grasp) especially on bruisers that excel in teamfights like illaoi. Graps just didnt give him any value that game since he couldnt proc it in 1v1 which made it so he could not get the extra hp. In that case, going conq is 100% better.
playing against shaco in lane is hard because when his boxes proc they actually fear things outside the radius when they pop they just wont damage outside the circle

tentacles give some insane team fight potential, and she is a beast at 1v2s and not a terrible initiator she is a good champ, one of the best bruisers who can stay alive in a really tight spot if you land your tentacles. also yes, teemo is easy to beat. You pick rumble. literally dont even have to use your R.

T1 didnt get titled. Also he was focusing on objective gold which is by far more efficient than kills if you do it in a timely manner. Pink ward is great on shaco, but he falls behind when because of objective gold and lack of fights where is free to roam as he pleases
I played against Pink ward's Shaco before as Riven and I can say that he's really good at mind gaming and if your mental fortitude is not strong enough you'll easily get tilted
At 10:42 you can see 4 shaco boxes killing Tyler1. There is an extra box that was somehow placed and armed during shaco's dagger throw animation. That box is close enough that it would have activated earlier had it been there when he was walking through the bushes so it was just placed right before the clone died. So Tyler1 died to the clone boxes, the extra 4 box, and the shiv attack.

Iceborn does not give mana. Iceborn is purchased because it slows people down mostly, it allows you to stick to players using the sheen proq and your W, the easiest way to beat illaoi is to kite, iceborn reduces kite potential, makes your e's easier to hit too. Also it provides a damage reduction, meaning you can drain tank people just by w'ing them before you ult. None of the stats on iceborn are bad for illaoi, even vs heavy AP it can be useful to tank turret shots. I hit masters earlier this season playing illaoi, pants doesn't always get the call right and neither does tyler, if you like illaoi i recommend dirtymobs

The Ivern was bad for going Night Harvester instead of Shurelya to help his team kite. He also should have gone Glacial instead of Aery to help set up MF ult with the slow. Also also, he just died too much in general, even with an enemy Kha.

The only thing pink ward cannot outplay is his cardio vascular health.

I played against Pink ward's Shaco before as Riven and I can say that he's really good at mind gaming and if your mental fortitude is not strong enough you'll easily get tilted

Yes. You cannot flash dagger and if you do and it yo-yo’s back to backstab you for extra dmg.
It’s great when Akshan is spinning in a circle to see a dagger thrown by shaco because it chases him for like a solid 2 seconds before hitting him.
At 10:42 you can see 4 shaco boxes killing Tyler1. There is an extra box that was somehow placed and armed during shaco's dagger throw animation. That box is close enough that it would have activated earlier had it been there when he was walking through the bushes so it was just placed right before the clone died. So Tyler1 died to the clone boxes, the extra 4 box, and the shiv attack.
In that first death i'm pretty certain he flashed over the dagger toss making it hit him from behind and critting. brutal.

He is also taking iceborn for mana. If he constantly shoves waves, he also has to have mana to fight after shoving.
Iceborn does not give mana. Iceborn is purchased because it slows people down mostly, it allows you to stick to players using the sheen proq and your W, the easiest way to beat illaoi is to kite, iceborn reduces kite potential, makes your e's easier to hit too.
Also it provides a damage reduction, meaning you can drain tank people just by w'ing them before you ult. None of the stats on iceborn are bad for illaoi, even vs heavy AP it can be useful to tank turret shots. I hit masters earlier this season playing illaoi, pants doesn't always get the call right and neither does tyler, if you like illaoi i recommend dirtymobs

The Ivern was bad for going Night Harvester instead of Shurelya to help his team kite. He also should have gone Glacial instead of Aery to help set up MF ult with the slow. Also also, he just died too much in general, even with an enemy Kha.
