Great idea and thanks for the tutorial! But I will be sewing EVERYTHING instead of gluing. Also I plan to use this as an insert for larger bags instead of a standalone bag.
as a sewer i wud sew the entire thing however the whole psttern is brilliant AND!! the fabric mesh drywall tape ? is the best hac.k iv seen in a long time, very smart. you are awesome cant wait to see more of your hacks
Love your technique and that you do not feel the, too frequent need, to drone on with step-by-step commentary. Your work shines by itself. Very efficient cutting and construction. Agree with the no glue gun haters. They could have been nicer, but the glue cheapens all of your incredible design. I think getting rid of a few earlier seams will allow final construction on home sewing machine for most of us medium level sewers. I am going to try. Thanks for lovely demo.
All that sewing and then BAM let's hot glue all the final parts together. Also wouldn't it make more sense to pin the netting to one of the correct sides at 4:32 before sewing at 4:50 to prevent the raw edges created by sewing it on after?
Nice idea and I was totally with you ... Until the glue gun! How long is that glue gonna hold all the stuff I'm gonna want to carry around in a craft organiser bag? Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us i like your idea a great deal!
Miriam Felton Well I get the idea behind the hot glue specially on the corners because her small machine won’t be able to go through that thickness without breaking a needle or ruining the machine, the handles I probably would’ve done maybe a button there instead and therefore you could sew through all of the thicknesses by hand I think that would give it more strength but all in all it’s a cute bag nice idea good job girl
@@susansmith5876 I use a machine very similar to hers and have sewn jean, gabardine, a wool-like fabric and several other thick fabrics; simple, double and even triple layers. Most of the modern home sewing machines we use today come prepared to sew anything, even quilts. She just needs to use the right needle.
I think you missed the point. This is an inspiration video. She shows you how to make the entire bag.. and what you need to make it. Glue it or sew it.. that's your choice.
Nice bag. I'm not into all the gluing but still great video. This will make a great insert to organize my huge tote bags that have no pockets inside. Thanks.
To everyone commenting on her using a glue gun. Just stop being so rude and ungrateful already! She gives you all the measurements to make your pattern pieces.. shows you the assemble. .Shares her absolutely fantastic designs.. and yet far to many can only sit and play utterly useless armchair critic. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Glue it, sew it.. it doesn't matter! This is a video to inspire you to make your own.. your own way! So yeah, get off your high horses and show a little appreciation. I love these videos and have made many of the bags .. and they've totally enriched my life! To the person behind DIY crafts TV.. thank you so SO much for the wonderful ideas, patterns and inspiration! You've more than a little genius going on in that head of yours.
Here's a thought. Be graceful with your comments instead of playing armchair critic. If you don't like using a glue gun for projects like this.. don't. But don't criticize her choice to use one. She gave you a wonderful idea complete with a tutorial as an inspiration! If you want to sew yours.. all the power to you. I loved the video but was more than a little disgusted once I reached the comment section. To the creator of this video.. thank you for a wonderful video and the inspiration, along with instructions! on how to make one of these incredibly useful bags! I don't care if you glued it. To each their own. I promise this is on my very soon to make list of projects. Probably several of them since I can see this being one of the most wonderful little organizing bags ever. You're brilliant!
hello, congratulations for the creations in the meantime, I have a question, when you do the shoulder straps or however the handles of the bags is not always better to sew them? I always fill my bags a lot and I fear that the hot glue cannot support the weight
Thank you for your very helpful video. I'm also stitching most parts but using hot glue where my machine can't sew. I'll be using this organizer to put inside my bigger bag or table top only so glue will do fine till it lasts☺
I like how they show the original version at the beginning in all its colour variants, rather than the homemade product. Its less work and doubtlessly cheaper to buy these from AliExpress. They are made better too.
Great idea but I'll probably flip the pocket items to the inside. I hate having things show what I got in my purse from the outside. I also don't mind the gluing for some areas I'd probably go back over some of it with a bit of stitching but this is a quick and simple method to finish off the work.
Other than the hot glue, it is a very nice end result. I will make something similar but without the glue to give more strength. Glue isn't that strong and seeing it at the handle area when lifting the bag took away from the lovely effect everywhere else.
Again with the glue gun? Again on a seam that requires strength to stay together? I think you need to forget that you own a glue gun. This otherwise cute purse insert is only going to survive a short while before the glued seams give out.

Igual pensé lo mismo, pero creo q le puso silicona x el grosor de la tela ya q su maquina no costurará ese grosor... aunq le quito el acabado fino de ese bolso la simicona

Great idea but hot glue 😲 It wont stay put for a couple of hours use. Also why there is no illustration for the template dimensions you draw a line and cut off a piece of the paper like that 🤔
can you please tell what measure did you cut first before folding and cutting the corners and also please tell which fabric can i use for interfacing i dont have that one

Really lost me at the gluing. I'm all for making my own bags (I do it a lot), but damn. Hot glue ruined it all.
