I had a friend who has down syndrome and nobody ever hung out with him, birthdays, at school, never played games with him except for me. I saw him for his personality and as a person not as special needs. He was really kind, sweet, caring, funny and he was always happy no matter what he was always happy. I would always hang it with him and go to his birthdays, etc. Finally i told my teachers about what hes going through and they ACTUALLY came to his birthday and they brought they're kids with them. Great kid, Best friend I ever had

People being overweight, not pretty, underweight, autistic, disabled, flat, father/mostherless or, poor(e.t.c) are still humans, and some people really need to find a heart to understand that.
Edit: *Ik some people can control weight but, I'm just pointing out to those who try to loose weight and, born like that. Also, when I said "not pretty" I mean like, not matching beauty standards and, not having a perfect face or body. :)*

As someone with an autistic sister, this hits very hard and made me cry. She doesn't have any real friends because all the kids her age only want to hang out with the "cool" kids. It's not just autistic kids either, it's really hard to find a friend that loves you just the way you are, and will stick with you no matter what gets in your way. Even I don't have a friend like that.

One thing I realised is that people who have down syndrome, autism or any other disability often are very kind and good friends once you get to know them. It's just hard to understand their mindset from the outside. If you see anybody without a friend, please go be their friend, even if others call you names for being their friends. It's more important to have a few true good friends than the ones that criticize everything you do.

Disabled or not, having no one show up to your party that you were excited for, must feel awful and sad. Thankfully, I never had that experience…..probably cause I haven’t really thrown a party for myself since I was like 15. My birthday “celebrations” are usually dinners at restaurants or hanging out like like 1 friend at the movies or beach, etc.
I avoided trying to throw a party for many years out of fear that no one (or just 1 person ) would show up.

This was a beautiful story and message. I'm Autistic and growing up, I found it hard communicating and fitting in too, but that didn't stop people my age from talking to me and though I communicated differently, they counted me as a friend and as a kid, I got invited to Birthday parties and because of that, I didn't feel left out and those times I'll never forget! People with special needs always need someone in their lives but they shouldn't be treated no differently!

As someone with autism, this honestly made me cry.
Most of the time, my birthdays were me just staying at home on my own with family. I was also bullied from primary school to grammar school, being excluded from groups a lot of the time.
Also if I played online, some people would be bullies, giving me a really hard time.
Honestly, I grew skeptical of everything people said, thinking that they were sometimes lying to me just to make me feel better, even if that wasn’t the case.
Really happy this kid had a good ending.

Honestly, no one should judge just because of a disability. He should have as many friends as a normal person does. The way this world reacts to different people is just messed up. I just want to say if you have a disability or look different or think a different way. I just want to say that’s OK and you should be you no matter what. There’s always gonna be losers who think that they can bully you, but that’s not true. Just be who you are.❤❤❤

As someone who has a best friend with autism, this hits hard. Often I wonder if he’s doing okay, and get extremely anxious over the fact some people like bullying him just because he was born a little different - ignoring the fact that he was still born human. People with autism, ADHD, down syndrome, and everything else out there are still people. And they deserve just as much as you or I.

Life Fact For Today : There's a difference between being disabled & having a disorder . When your disabled you cant function normally & have abnormal appearances which some students in school may have to enroll into a special ed class . A disorder ( Ex ADHD ) is when you can still control yourself & function normally but its more difficult to do so than other people in this world without it .

thats not necessarily true at all. In this case and definition you used above would you then class autism as a disorder rather than being disabled or a "disability" because they "look normal." And coming from someone with severe ADHD at 21 years of age, it absolutely cripples you mentally. You cannot function most of the time because you simply dont have enough dopamine for you to do something as simple as 'get up.'
