1 Samuel 15:33 King James Version 33 And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.
For your kind attention; 1 Samuel has only 35 verses. How many years have I been teaching this. Do you think that I must have not noticed that in the same chapter Agag was killed by Samuel? Well, here is my response to you. This message is about Esther, not about Saul or Samuel. SO, I do not see why I have to elaborate on Agag as already I ran out of time teaching Esther. That's why I did not bother to explain that 1 Samuel 15 did not happen as fast as we read it. Samuel lived in Ramah, goes to Gibea to command him to go and destroy the Amalekites. It takes months for Saul to accomplish the same. When God told that Saul disobeyed, Samuel went to Gibea and from there to Carmel and then to Gilgal. My goodness....., how many days!!!! Moreover, although the Bible says that Saul spared only Agag that was not what it meant. Saul spared some royalty. Remember who finally killed saul? It was an Amalekite who finally killed Saul on Mount Gilboa. So, Agag's royal elite were speared and there was some time between the time Saul spared Agag and Samuel killed him.
