- Roblox users are mad because apparently, Roblox has given Star Creators the ability to get any username of any inactive account. How fair is this?

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
I don't know who reads descriptions but hello, since you're here, I wanted to say that I hope you have a good day.

Imagine if the original owner of the very inactive account decides to come back and sees account now belongs to a star creator
Fair, but I think it'll just reset their username. In that case, they would just be asked to input a new username for their account.
I don't understand why this is unfair. If the account with the original username hasn't been active for a long time, it makes sense to give content creators their matching platform name.
I agree. This simply has to do with the fact that a channel name is as much of a "brand" as actual stores. If somebody makes a Roblox username that is named after their favorite brand or creator, I think it's just as fair if the original creator of that brand gets the name eventually.
It should give consent. If they don’t respond within 7-30 days, the star creator gets the account.
It is so unfair to take a name of an inactive account. I know there are a lot of accounts not being used, but come on this is so weird.
I think it's fair, the issue here would be if Roblox doesn't e-mail the original owner of it.
@alphalyticalwhat if the account has no email? Roblox can't contact the email
@@Potdab Gonna assume that they'll just check how long the account was inactive then. If it was made in 2009 and no one logged in ever since, I'm gonna assume that Roblox will just take the username and give it to someone else.
I think this should olny happen if permission is given by the person with the original username or if the username is something uncommon like kreekcraft because mud is just a common word
I agree. I think there's plenty of creators out there with unique channel names that simply got their brand name stolen because of some kid trying to impersonate them. Would be a good idea if the person who owned the original name gives permission OR if the channel has existed before that account was even made, like in cases with the brands that come to Roblox.
Is is especially good for games like pet simulator with mailboxes and username scams!
It's completely fair for kreek cuz kreekcraft was his old account
Chat if i ever get popular (i wont) then im coming for KosMic.
i love that crossguard
I love it too! It reminded me of Star Wars, and I like Star Wars a lot, so I just had to get it lol
POV: You disable your account for 1 day
The next day: "Please input a new username (Free)"
Highly doubt this is how it'll go. I think they only do this if the account has been inactive for maybe over a decade or longer.
i feel like u went to my school
this is unfair i hope roblox can give me the username lisa now
Doubt it'll happen, but maybe one day
I think this is unfair and a very bad thing to do some people who played the game along time ago could have rare names like 3 letter names or 4 and star creators can just take that name if there inactive for to long
Fair. As I said in the video itself, it would only be fair if Roblox were to e-mail the original account owners (if they have an e-mail attached to their account, that is) about this and notify them to let them know that someone else wants their username. Maybe they could ask the user if they're okay with it, just to make sure that the original name owner doesn't want to play Roblox again and are fully okay with this.
