I've been listening to the original by sir Arthur Conan Doyle on repeat for the last few months, and I think I can say that I'm familiar with his tone and the general feeling of his stories. Listening to this one felt like watching the Avatar's Ember Island play, in the best way hahaha I find myself laughing out loud on several points, which did not happen as often with the originals 😆😂 Very interesting!
Just finished listening to the morning glory murders with tears in my eyes to be confronted with the death of the Indian boy. I know it's fiction but I was somewhat distraught. 😢 Your written work is exceptional. 💔
I enjoy the fact that this author keeps his stories so authentic that he even goes so far as using antiquated terms such as 'brain fever'. Characters suffering from "brain fever" were fairly common in the original Doyle tales that it makes for a fun inclusion in these new stories, even though the term is biologically inaccurate. Good show, old chap!
How could anyone be "bored" by these wonderful stories and actually be arsed to inform everybody else of this? They sound very, very sad and equally boring. 😂
@@martinrutley-wk5ds middle english I believe. but that's from memory, didn't find a reference. But late 19th century would certainly have been 'autumn'.
*Spoiler alert* **************** **************** **************** **************** I love it how Holmes uses his irregulars to spy on the 2 families and gain information used to coerce them both to stop murdering each other. It's poetic justice, and the way he did it totally caught me off guard. Bravo Mr. Copland!
Well written and narrated! Thoroughly enjoyed this!

Good fun.
Dust off the floor indeed.
Great story, but we Irish and English readers prefer the word "Autumn" to "Fall".
And in Australia too 🇦🇺
Also we do not measure distance in "blocks".
Here in America we prefer fall to Autumn. lol what is Autumn
@@AirJockey100Here in England we tend not to give a rat's arse what Americans prefer.
@@martinrutley-wk5dsYou’re also silly arses

Holmes would say "autumn", not "fall". Also, there were no teabags in the 1880s. Cheers
When exactly did the word "fall" drop out of usage in Britain?

I love it when someone finds anachonisims. You can feel how into it they have gotten and that desire for it to be as good as it could be.

The ads mean I won't go any further. Ads suck. I was just drifting off-then, I heard Etta James...
I love her music...just not now. Sorry.
Very ungrateful of those who are bitching about one or the other things in this wonderful story.

Boring and has none of the ambiance of Conan Doyle's writing. A waste of my time.
