    When two or more words add together and work as an adverb in a sentence then it is called an Adverb Phrase.
    An adverb or adverb phrase describe Verb, Adjective and another Adverb.
    Adverb or an adverb phrase answer the question When, Where, How, Why or to What extent something was done.
    Ex. She walks to the school every day. (when)
    Ex. There is a new supermarket in front of your house. (where)
    Answer.
    1.She is going to 'every day'.
    It gives the answer of a question 'When'
    2.'In front of' tells about the place of market.

    Types of Adverb Phrase
    ••Time - When
    Ex. We must finish our projects before the holidays.
    Place - Where
    Ex. The woman who lives next door is a doctor.
    Manner - How
    Ex. The carpenter hit the nail with a hammer.
    Frequency - How often the work is being done.
    Ex. Ria buys two shirts every month.
    Reason /Purpose -
    Ex. Ram bought flowers for his mother on her birthday.

    Answer - 1. (before the holidays) describe 'When' to finish the projects.
    2. (next door) describe about the place 'Where' the woman is living
    3. (with a hammer) describe about how the nail was hit .
    4.(every month) describe how often Ria bought new shirts.
    5.(on her birthday) describe the reason or purpose of buying flowers.

    Formation of an Adverb Phrase.
    ••Verb + Adjective + Adverb
    Ex. Children grow up very quickly.
    ••Be + Adverb Phrase
    Ex. I am upstairs.
    •• Adverb + Adjective
    Ex. I found it extremely difficult to talk to her.
    ••Adverb Phrase + Other Phrase
    Ex. There was hardly anyone at the concert.
    ••Adverb Phrase + Determiners
    Ex. Only half my friends could come to the party.

    There are three ways how you identify Adverb Phrase in a sentence.
    ••When two adverbs work together in a sentence they are considered as an adverb phrase.
    ••Some times Prepositional Phrase used as an adverb phrase when it describe the thing when, where, why, how and how often the work is being done.
    ••Infinitives Phrase also functioning as an adverb phrase in a sentence when they are supposed to give the answer when, where, why, how and how often the work is being done.
