Just got married on the Wish in April! It is amazing. The pictures in the Wish are just too pretty to pass up even if it isn’t my favorite ship. There is no place more beautiful. Fumika and Faith were amazing. Enjoy your planning and congrats to both of you.
I want to give some background, my hubby and I got married on the Wish back in December 2022. I don’t think Koda should use the ship’s hair/makeup at the untangled salon. I cried so hard redoing my own hair in my cabin. My heart was broken, my hair was FRIED and so badly damaged. They did nothing to supplement it. They offered to have the SAME hairstylist come to my cabin to fix it. But he was the one that ruined it so it doesn’t make sense. I was walking down the aisle or in this case the atrium steps in less than an hour w/ my hair ruined and makeup not even done right. So please please splurge on bringing your own hair/makeup stylists on board. I’ve never been so disappointed with Disney until this moment. This ruined my overall perception on Disney cruise weddings as a whole. As a friendly tip, you can get Magic Kingdom castle photos! You fall in the Disney wedding family so Be sure to reach out to Disney Fine Art Photography! We got up at 5am for beautiful pics at MK and Epcot! I’d love to send over my wedding video to you and pictures at Disney World if you’d like for a better idea 🥰

We got married on the Magic on December 1 2014-we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year!! It was so magical and we LOVE that we joined our families in this way. We were treated like royalty the whole cruise! We stayed in our wedding attire since it was formal night that evening and I had little girls coming up to me and telling me that I looked like a REAL princess!! ❤ We also love sharing a few of our wedding pictures with PALO staff on different ships since our ceremony was moved inside of PALO because it started to rain-they seem to take a special pride when we show them. Yay this is awesome! Totally agree with choosing the atrium…Castaway is too dependent on weather and sometimes you can’t even dock there. I’ve heard stories of people not even being able to dock there on their wedding day. Atrium will be gorgeous!

Got married on the Dream in 2022, my husband and I met actually on the DCP as West Side MK Custodians in 2015-2016! My favorite zone was splash Mt., so we probably saw you at some point 😁 Congratulations! Some pointers: Your wedding planner will be different on ship than who you speak to now. Ours was training someone and there were small pitfalls. We paid for a long reception but our photographer pulled us to do photos during the reception on the Nassau day and we wished later we had set time aside to do the photos either earlier or well after the reception so we could enjoy the party. Understand that photos have to be reviewed AFTER they are taken so your photographer will set up time with you do that. With us I did not understand that these photos were separate from their photo kiosk and almost missed ALL my wedding photos. You will lose family members, they all may not understand how to communicate or use the app, and it could be confusing for wedding party activities. For the bride, they will ask to immediately go to the salon to set up hair appt for day of wedding and overview what you want. They threw a casket cause I did not understand this needed to be done immediately on boarding day and I came the day after. I hope some of this is helpful ❤

CONGRATS!!! We are going on our second Disney cruise this year and gonna go see Alaska for the first time!!! We try to do a cruise every two years now. But may consider coming on the Wish with ya… it would be a wedding for you and a birthday for me (May 16). Congratulations!!!! I just wonder how you didn’t piss any guests off? That’s the main reason we didn’t get married on a cruise. We had a small wedding last year and then the rest of the people we set up a zoom and zoomed the wedding live. We had some conflict about everything. I couldn’t imagine telling our guests well if you wanna come you’ll have to spend tons of money and go out of your way for a 4 day cruise. We had only a tiny tiny amount of people who were our ride or die and would go wherever we wanted to get married no matter what. We had trouble getting RSVP’s from everyone even after many text reminders after the invite deadline. And we didn’t go crazy with our invites. In total we invited maybe like 100 people? We couldn’t even get some people to drive two hours out of their way. And my dad lived right next to the venue and could let them spend the night for free… like. And besides our immediate family, we picked our closer extended family and friends. We might have to do a vow renewal by ourselves or with the ride or die people something on a future cruise. I told my wife I never wanted to do that cus the initial wedding was stressful, but who knows. Anyway we got married in a historic cabin in a national park for a pretty good price I think and it was still so beautiful and awesome even though it wasn’t Disney. I worked as a park ranger for a bit and so it was meant to be. Also good luck with the hair and makeup. We didn’t do a whole bridesmaid thing so we got my sisters to do our hair and makeup so they’d still feel special, they made us late for the ceremony.

No clue if you'll see this or not, but....if you're willing to delay your honeymoon a bit, why not book a sailing on the Adventure out of Singapore? You were full of Wonder when you got engaged, your wedding will be a Wish come true, then it's time to start your great Adventure together! You can do a side quest over to Shanghai Disney, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disney, or even Disneyland Paris because once you're out of the US, traveling to other countries is a lot easier since you're already halfway there. Heck, if you time it right, you could even possibly get to Australia to sail an Australian Season sailing on the Wonder, possibly the Transpacific back to Hawai'i or all the way to Vancouver (if you do go both legs, try adding on Vancouver to San Diego, you'll have much better flight options out of California than out of Vancouver, trust me). I am fully aware of the time and financial commitment needed for any of my suggestions, but you two deserve to live your best lives! 😊

Heck, if you time it right, you could even possibly get to Australia to sail an Australian Season sailing on the Wonder, possibly the Transpacific back to Hawai'i or all the way to Vancouver (if you do go both legs, try adding on Vancouver to San Diego, you'll have much better flight options out of California than out of Vancouver, trust me). I am fully aware of the time and financial commitment needed for any of my suggestions, but you two deserve to live your best lives! 😊
