- A few minutes ago in Canada! Severe storm hit Ontario and Quebec, 45,000 without power
Severe weather hit much of Ontario and Quebec. Repeated severe storms prompted tornado watches and warnings in both states throughout Thursday afternoon and evening.
As of Friday morning, more than 45,000 people were still without power across Ontario due to the storm. The largest power outages affected residents around Orillia and Huntsville. An estimated 12,000 residents were similarly affected in Quebec.

Looks like Eastern Ontario. In Ottawa's west end it is not unusual to start storming at 10am, again at 12pm, and then 2:30pm, 4:30pm, 7, 8:30/9pm and through the night. Love it, miss it, wish I was there.
