This is a every Sunday cooking in Tonga, we call it ‘umu …. It’s nice to see you and your family enjoy the Polynesians way of cooking. Love watching your videos, and can’t way to see more
Love the vid man. Lovo is highly traditional to us Fijians . I have been to Samoa and have experienced their style of Umu as well. Earth oven cooking is a pacific island culture, just the way it is done by the islanders is unique to each country. Which island or part of Fiji was this at?
@@ImmersionFiji I'm slowly going through all the videos n planning my trip out there... I have family in USA, NZ and Canada... I'm convincing them to meet up in Fiji... None of us have been to Vanua Levu so I'm going to bring them all over when we have our Fiji meet up. It's all I think about... Gotta get back there 😊❤️
What a beautiful video enjoyed every minute of it,enjoyed the lovo almost could taste it been a long time since I had lovo, beautiful family gathering nice to see the waka’s also ENJOY 👍
Love that little setup for lovo on the beach. Would be a good place to chillout with a bon fire at night too aye. Good to see Jonathan (Waka Family) in the thick of it too. Awesome video. Love it.
Bula vina'a team & thank you so much.Have subscribed to your channel....Just caught some of my local Ca'au dialect,my heart already breaking and yearning for home...1."Qo lobaga ena yaqona?"/squeezing coconut milk like mixing yaqona-Fijian kava...2. "Qo amu sa uro"..the coconut is creamy..Love your video uploads, especially when it's close to my hometown, homeland. So much respect.
Man I want to come to Fiji and live like this a while but I’m worried about money like is there any chance I can get work there making similar money to what I do at home in NZ?
Hi mate, thank for watching. I’m glad it has inspired you to want to go out and live life the way you want. Unfortunately jobs are scarce here in Fiji and the pay is very low compared to what you would be use to in NZ. I’m sure if you start looking for opportunity, you will find a way to make it happen. 👍
@@ImmersionFiji that is true! Ideally just making UA-cam content there even and doing it as a job has so much potential! Your vids are enjoyable they remind me of the content that Field days and Cavy produce on here. Field days has only been doing it for a year and he’s making stacks of cash, I’d say your videos and what you’d be capable of producing would have equally as much possibilities it’s just the people haven’t found you yet. It was actually quite hard to find your channel for whatever reason
Yeah I follow both of those champions and love their stuff! 👌 It’s people like that who have inspired me to start sharing how I’ve been living for the last few years. If it inspires others to break free from the day to day grind and create a life of balance and abundance, I’ll be happy 👌 Life doesn’t have to be anything like we are programmed to believe 😉
Waka family video brings me here , I enjoy watching this, keep it coming vinaka . All the way from UK
